The haggis one is interesting because I know for a fact that kilts and bagpipes (things everyone considers Scottish) were actually around in Ireland long before they crossed over to Scotland.

It is also highly likely that Whiskey was invented in Ireland although the Scots would like to believe otherwise!

you got it wrong. He was talking about greek catholic churches which are more like weird orthodox than eastern catholic. They are more similar to orthodox churches than to the catholic one.

#10 Catholic priests can’t GET married is the myth. And it is also true. I have never heard of an east catholic church, unless you refer to greeko-catholic church (found at the borders of ortodox and catholic churches, eg:Romania). Greeko-catholic church (as we call it in Romania) does have the pope as it’s head, but it’s not catholic. Greeko-catholic church = ortodoxo-catholic church and is somewhere in between. It was promoted for politic purposes to settle the hatred or something like this (old people know ***** like this because they lived through it)

He is aknowledged as the inventor (except by italians of course who claim Julius Caesar Meucci invented in in 45 BC) for 2 main reasons: 1) There is no invention of telephone, it just progressed and improved with many inventors doing pioneering work on it and improving on each other’s ideas; 2) He invented the telephone that can be used. #4 The fact that Hitler was a vegetarian is accepted by almost all sources. Even though wikipedia has a page on the matter(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Hitler%27s_vegetarianism) in other articles just state “Adolf Hitler was vegetarian” as a given. And he despised alcohol!

This list is very purely researched and it contains your frustration on different matters you know nothing about or rumours you may have heard as jokes in a pub.

You got me on #4. I always had read that Hitler was a vegetarian and totally abstained from alcohol. But, I guess not. And # 6, Popeye eating his Spinach, I just assumed that his Spinach was riddled with Steroids !!! (Just joking !!)

Hitler was a nonsmoker tho, and in fact, the first leader to initiate a smoking ban.

German sausages are tasty; anyone living near a direct supply of the things can’t possibly be vegetarian. It wouldn’t make sense.
