I had ametophobia for quite a while- eating disorders should never be frowned upon. They are uncontrollable, painful and I've never lost weight so quickly.

Also, a lot of anorexia cases are caused by stupidly thin barbies and annoying celebrities. Perhaps barbies should be made a little fatter, and celebrities should keep a normal weight, instead of being stupidly thin.

Wow. I don't think there is any word to describe how retarded you are.

Yeah, you know what? I just want to go up to cancer patients and scream GET THE F OVER IT. Because I really can't understand why they'd want to be ill like that.

Anorexia is a mental illness, and we don't do it to ourselves. We have something in our brain which tells us not to eat or that we're fat, like an external voice but it's part of ourselves.

I know it gets alot serious than this, but i have Pica! I go through 2 hundred sticks of pure white chalk in a month. Carry them everywhere! Delicious! My mom recently scolded me for it because where i live (Jamaica), its mostly seen as a child's dirty habit and i can just stop. Been to a therapist and a doctor about it and they both ignore it so imma keep eating ma delicious chalk! They also go well with ice (i have that one too). i hide the chalk but ppl generally dont mind the ice.

I used to suffer from compulsive eating disorder (not mentioned on your list). It's different to binge eating disorder in that food is used as a drug, and so a CED sufferer would pick a food they like, rather than just eating any food (I once knew a BED sufferer who ate two whole loaves of bread in a binge; she also used to drink ketchup from the bottle). Basically, food is used as a drug to make a sufferer feel better.

A lot of people DO say it about people with bipolar disorder or depression, actually. They seem to think that since they're mental disorders, they must just be all in your head. It can be very hard to convince them otherwise.
