also it really doesn’t rain that much in britian, in fact the august that just went by in 2011 didn’t have a single drop of rain fall in the borough i’m from, in britain!
to be honest us brit’s are just as guilty at making misconceptions about things like that. for example, we think all your food consists of is either extremely expensive fine dining, huge portions of fast food, doughnuts, muffins and FAT!

The only legal tender money in the UK is from the Bank of England.

However, Scottish money, by convention, is accepted throughout Scotland. It’s not uncommon for places to issue their own currency, e.g. the pink pound, casino chips, gift vouchers. As long as the buyer and the seller both agree to the transaction, you can pay for something in pink elephants if you like.
