your *****ysis of the vikings is interesting, yet some are wrong and right at the same time. for instance, number 9: They may not have been so dirty and wild, but as compared to sophisticated nations such as England or France, they were incredibly messy, dirty, and barbaric. For number 8: Based on their northern heritage, most vikings were actually blond or red haired and of quite a large size genetically. Also, your evidence for number 6 makes no sense…just because a sword is sharp doesn’t mean it’s necessarily not crude. I can sharpen a toothpick until it slices paper, but that doesn’t make it a perfect warfare weapon. Now if their evidence was that it cut through a large rope or rock, then you can consider it a formidable weapon, but hair? really? i can break that with my pinky….number 5: just like number 10, you are right. they are from different places. Number 4: you know why they were hated by their peers? see numbers 2 and 3. they literally used to make full voyages on ships just to beat the ***** out of people, slaughter thousands, and steal their money, then leave. i believe that takes care of the next 2. number 1, you are right. they didn’t use helmets with horns, those were used in artist renditions to show the vikings as more satanic and devil-like because they were fearsome, but they used practical helmets instead.

Saw another thing. Doors in very old houses indicate that a person standing at 170CM in those days would be a giant. Also, vikings were the soldiers and explorers of those days and so naturally they had muscles. There were more important things than shaving and cutting hair, so naturally they grew long. Blonde is a very common hair colour in countries such as Sweden and Iceland and red hair only came to Iceland via slaves from Ireland.

Haven’t finished reading, but laug is neither bath nor pool in Icelandic. Baðkar is bath, sundLAUG is pool. Laug is a natural thing. Very small shallow waters with warm and clean water. But, they would make perfect places to bathe. ^^ Specially in the cold winters. =D Also, I’m Icelandic.
