Whilst I agree on your giving Russia props, Russia would not have survived without the supplies, weapons, and enormous contributions from the Allies, not merely america alone. It is futile to try and bash any one country, and no country is without its faults or its *****ty moments in history. So why does anyone think they can label any one country with accuracy? that’s like saying racial insults are true, its the same thing, while one is applied at human races, which humans are too complex to be labeled accurately, you cant honestly think all Americans or all of any country’s people are truly as blind as you are labeling them to be. Its horse *****!

Very American-centric ( you guys think you won WW2 on your own as well… Ah Russia anyone ? ) missing off this list is a late 80′s band from Vancouver Canada – Slow ( see ” I Have Not Been The Same ” video on YouTube ) they toured thu Seattle / Tacoma in 1989 and influenced Kurt Cobain, mother love bone and other Seattle groups.

Not at all. Pearl Jam is more talented (although I give a lot of credit to Dave Grohl), had better music and [especially] lyrics, and were much less self-absorbed. They did what they did because they liked doing it. They deserve number 1.
