Today is Listverse’s second birthday! In that time we have had over 70 million visits! Because it is our birthday, I have decided to do a list of our most popular lists since we opened our cyber-doors two years ago. I am hoping that it will introduce at least a few of you to some lists you may have overlooked. The statistics I used to determine the order is total unique views – that excludes repeat visits from people who may be wanting to check up on the comments. Be sure to mention your own favorite lists in the comments. Happy birthday Listverse!
This was the list where we first met Juan Baptista dos Santos – the man with three legs and two penises. He was eventually to appear again on the bizarre relationships list because of his brief sexual encounter with Blanche Dumas, the woman with two vaginas and three legs (that would have been a good one for the amazing coincidences list as well!)
This list was published at quite an opportune time as many of the disorders that appeared on it later featured in other lists as related facts, so everyone that read this one was prepared for the others. The list was published just 3 months after the site launched so its high number of comments was pretty amazing. Comments above 200 happen quite regularly now but it was extremely rare back then. The contributor (JT) has contributed many other popular lists since then.
This list would rank high in the most popular, most commented on, and most controversial! This list started out as a top 15 and excluded a large number of very popular films. For this reason the comments (for the first time on the site) took on a very nasty tone and I had to pull it. I spent a few hours adding new films and re-rating some of the originals and finally came up with the top 20 as it stands now. As you can see by comment 1: “Mr Frater this list is so much better.” the updated list had a much better reception.
Not only is this one of our most popular lists, it is one of our most stolen. It seems that the majority of the 59,500 Google results for “10 amazing facts about dreams” are related to our original list – either as a complete rip or a derivative. The 450 comments on the list certainly speaks to its popularity with the most recent comment being posted a mere few days ago (nearly 2 years after first posting).
Having done a second list of evil women, I would be quite keen to combine the two and re-order them, giving us an “all time most evil women” list. Unfortunately when I wrote the original there were a number of wicked women I was unfamiliar with and the commenters certainly had no problem pointing that out. The list caused some controversy because of my inclusion of Queen Mary and Queen Isabella, but that was balanced by the inclusion of Elizabeth I on the second list. All in all, the list proved very popular despite its less-than-ideal ordering.
Sticking the Shroud of Turin onto any list is a recipe for controversy on this site (and most of the Internet for that matter). This list was definitely no disappointment. I certainly was surprised by the popularity of this list and that inspired me to write another 5 mysteries lists (and there are more to come I assure you). The Shroud seemed to be the most talked about item on the list and this lead to what was one of our earliest religion versus non-religion debates.
This was one of the most enjoyable lists to put together – which may account for its popularity. It featured some spooky and some happy coincidences. It eventually led to a second list of the same and there will hopefully be more in the future. Item number 9 (the Mystery Monk) was definitely my favorite addition. If only we all had someone like that watching out for us!
It was probably the political nature of some of the items on this list which led to its popularity – that and a front page on Reddit and Fark. This was a fascinating list and there will hopefully be more of the same in the future. I think item 5 (the Lincoln photo) is the most interesting as it is such a famous portrait – who would have thought that it was a photographic fake?
This was our first popular list (and the first one to reach the front page of Digg – causing untold headaches managing traffic but leading to our fast rise in popularity). For the last two years this list has topped the “top 10″ on the site so I was pretty shocked to see that it had been ousted from its place by the new number 1. This list was particularly close to my heart as all of the recordings were things that had fascinated me long before compiling it. Moreschi (the last Castrato) is especially interesting to me due to my interests in history, religion, and music; Moreschi combines all three!
So after nearly two years a list finally toppled the reign of the incredible recordings. Considering how recently this list was posted (just 7 months ago) it is an amazing feat. It was sent in by Blogball who has submitted many excellent lists in recent times. I am sure I am not alone in saying that I look forward to more in the future.
Unfortunately this list caused such a furore that I had to remove it. The list explained the ten most commonly used methods of suicide as well as the likely consequences when things go wrong. In the footer of the list I included telephone numbers for suicide lines in the countries that send us the most traffic. At first the list was well received (albeit controversial) but eventually we reached the number one spot on Google for “suicide” and we started getting a lot of very angry comments from people who were disgusted with the list. We also received a lot of comments from people who said that the list was going to help them commit suicide (I think that these were almost all from people trying to guilt us into removing the lists). Despite all of this I left the list on the site – but I closed the comments. A few months later one of my advertisers completely withdrew from the site and another threatened to if the list was not removed.
We may all like to think that there is no censorship on the Internet – but in a way this was a form of censorship through blackmail. Without the advertisers the site would have to close. My hands were tied, so the list was removed; that is the reason you have to view the list on my person site. Interestingly, if the list was still available, it would be in the number one position on this list with 463,999 unique views.
In summary to this list I would like to thank you all for sticking around and commenting on the lists. It has been quite hard to get lists out regularly and I am proud to say that we have not missed a single day in the last year – despite moving half way across the world. Thanks to the admins who have been a great help. There are many more lists to come in the future and I look forward to the next year in the hopes that we can grow even bigger.

Happy birthday, Listverse! My personal favorite is the one with weird Biblical tales, simply because it cracks me up.
Keep up the good work, Jamie – this site is a true gem.

happy bithday listverse, looking forward to 2 more years(and then 2 more…2more)
July 1st, 2009 at 1:45 am
Read ‘em all.
Bonus reminds me of that irc comment someone made about how they would commit suicide with a piano: “when the cord goes taut, youll be hanging upside down with no head….except your head will be in your outstretched arms thanks to gravity and the glue, staring at someone upside down and spewing blood everywhere.” (#5 http://listverse.com/2007/11/28/top-10-funniest-irc-quotes/)
July 1st, 2009 at 1:54 am
I suppose in the years to come you will have a top ten list of the top ten lists…
July 1st, 2009 at 1:55 am
Happy birthday listverse. I’ve spent hours and hours reading these lists and I must say I’ve learnt a lot from them. I am much wiser now, especially when it comes to religion which makes a lot of sense for me now.

A very happy birthday to listverse!! I cant believe its been 2 yrs since i first started visiting this site. I remember when the color scheme was orange and white; i really missed it when the site was redesigned. But the quality and the intrigue of the lists is very much the same and i enjoy visiting it regularly. Hope it continues with the same kind of success
July 1st, 2009 at 3:08 am
Jamie, it’s been a helluva ride, mate. Congratulations on the birthday, and this is still my favorite site out of the entire internet.
July 1st, 2009 at 3:08 am
Very Very Happy Birthday to Listverse!!!!
Great job Jaime, thanks for all your hard work
July 1st, 2009 at 3:10 am
Fascinating list. It really shows people’s intrigue of the stranger/darker side of life. Freaks, mental disorders, dreams, evil, mysteries, manipulation.
You don’t see ‘Top 10 Animated Disney Films’ making the list.
July 1st, 2009 at 3:13 am
Top 10 suicides was the first list I EVER read here on listverse…. in a little sadistic-sounding way it was close to my heart… (It was close to my heart because it introduced me to this wonderful site.
July 1st, 2009 at 3:14 am

HURRAY! This calls for celebration! Lets bring out the strippers and cheap champagne! or we could just add a new tab to the browser and surf some porn!!
July 1st, 2009 at 3:41 am
this is a sweet list. but jfrater, I would have personally told each and every person offended by the suicide list to get the fuck off my website. I know free speech is an illusion but stll…
July 1st, 2009 at 3:49 am
I never knew that about the suicide list. Hmm.
But anyway, my personal favourites are the mystery lists
Happy Birthday

THIS SONG IS FOR YOU JFRATER…
(rhythm of Journey – don’t stop believin’)
He’s just a small town boy,
Trying to bring us Lists with joy,
He took the midnight train going anywhere!
A blogger in a smoky room,
A smell of wine and cheap perfume,
For a List they can share at night,
It goes on and on and on and on…
Strangers waiting,
Up and down the internet,
Their browsers searching in the night,
List thirsty people
Living just to find emotion,
Hiding somewhere in the night!
Working hard to get my List,
Everybody wants a List,
Paying anythin’ just to roll the dice one more time!
Some will win, some will lose,
Some were born to sing the blues,
Oh, the ListVerse never ends,
IT GOES ON AND ON AND ON AND ON!!!
July 1st, 2009 at 3:57 am
I thought Jamie was so rich (read; worth a million bucks), that he didn’t need those pesky advertisers to support this wonderful site;-).
I admire and salute, Jamie for the unwavering dedication and support for Listverse. Sure, Jamie has many fans and detractors alike, who admire and whiplash him with nasty comments. But, Jamie had and always been there.
And, I’m happy to say, that I now declare that JFrater now needs a new liver! ( just like Stevie) I love you both, man!
Again, happy anniversary Listverse!
July 1st, 2009 at 4:01 am

July 1st, 2009 at 4:19 am

July 1st, 2009 at 4:22 am
That’s kind of funny actually.
‘Cause you’re telling us how to do it right, and then you’re telling us not to do it.
Bit of an lol there.
July 1st, 2009 at 4:23 am
I’s sad how you had to take such a good list down because of bad representation. When I read it I found it to be a great list and quite informing.
July 1st, 2009 at 4:23 am

July 1st, 2009 at 4:29 am
Happy Birthday Listverse!
July 1st, 2009 at 4:32 am
Wow! Congratulations Jamie and happy birthday Listverse!
I’ve been addicted to this site since I first discovered it a bit over a year ago, sometimes staying up late (5 AM where I’m at) just to see the next list, and it’s great to be able to comment when I have something to add, too.
Keep up all the great work!
July 1st, 2009 at 4:32 am
Mr Frater, I’m buying you a beer! Congratulations, I enjoy the site and it’s controversies, humor and educational value very much every day!
July 1st, 2009 at 4:34 am
When do you think you can take on David Letterman’s top ten lists? These are certainly better than those, only about two of his are funny out of ten. The historical lists are my favorite I enjoy the extensive research the authors have done. I started reading your lists a month after you opened and have not missed one. Perhaps I should write one.
July 1st, 2009 at 4:35 am
Jamie:
Happy birthday to you!
Add this to the paradox list: It seems both shorter and longer than two years. It’s hard to imagine life before my daily morning visit to LV).
For all that I have learned here, I thank you.
Also a special shoutout to the admins.
And a thank you for giving me the opportunity to have my lists published. I am proud to have contributed to this community.
July 1st, 2009 at 4:41 am
Happy Birthday Listverse!! I only found out about your site earlier this year, and ever since then I have been checking it daily for the latest lists – needless to say I have checked out the older lists also. I love the ones that has to do with historical figures & times.
Keep up the good work!!
July 1st, 2009 at 4:50 am
Happy Birthday LV! Where’s the party?? Keep up the good work Jamie…
July 1st, 2009 at 4:50 am
Damn I loved the Suicide list! And I’m sorry about Listverse losing an advertiser. Oh hey, I know!
*runs off to tell everybody about the site*
Not enough though.

Happy birthday Listverse!
July 1st, 2009 at 5:10 am
Happy Birthday Listverse!! Started reading Listverse about 6 months ago and didnt comment on anything until that Grunge list a few weeks back, since that was close to my heart and represent what I was feeling back then.
Keep up the good work and here’s looking forward to more music-related lists in the future…
July 1st, 2009 at 5:13 am
Happy Birthday Listverse!!!!!!!!!
July 1st, 2009 at 5:14 am
Congratulations on a job well done, JFrater. LV is one of the first sites I surf every morning, always wondering what the new list will be. So much fascinating intrigue for a trivia nut such as me. Keep ‘em coming, Jamie.
Happy, Happy Birthday, Listverse!
July 1st, 2009 at 5:18 am
Congrats on creating and maintaining a quality, thought-provoking website that gets people hooked and keeps them around. I stumbled upon this site and fell in love, and eventually found a home in the forums, which I greatly enjoy. I have made some great friends and wasted lots and lots of time. I love it here!

July 1st, 2009 at 5:38 am
Happy Birthday!
Thank you for bringing such an awesome website to the internet, Jaime. I am very happy that I “stumbled” upon a magnificent site totally by accident one day. The first thing I do every morning before I head out to work is check this site. I plan on sticking around while you celebrate even more “days” like this!
As they say: conga-rats!
I did get a chance to read the suicide list before it was yanked. Too bad people are idiots and can’t see it was a list and not a “How to do” instruction manual.
I have too many favorites to add my own selection so I will be impartial and say they are all my favorites! (hehe)
@Travis (24): Very clever!

Nothing but the best.now and in the future.
Thanks for endless hours of entertainment ,here, and in the forums.
July 1st, 2009 at 7:01 am
Happy Birthday, Listverse! Thanks for 2 entire years of non-stop list goodness.
Hmm, since you’re asking, I always thought the Top 10 Incredible Sound Illusions was one of the most popular, if not the most popular list ever? Hmm, I guess I got confused…?

Happy Birthday ListVerse! And Congrats to you Jamie! And Congrats and Thank-you to our Admin. staff! And..and..and…
Top 10 Incredible Recordings–That was the list I “stumbledupon” that made me a bonafide LVer.
What a wonderful thing to have a vision to share, the tech-savvy to act on the idea, and then to be validated by sheer popularity in the world wide arena. Again congrats Jamie!
Your lists pop-up in my life daily as I surf the tube, or am out in the world with my family. Little tid-bits of extra info gleaned from lists and comments get peppered into conversation.

Happy Birthday Listverse! I can’t believe it’s been just two years, it feels like it’s been longer than that. Trust me, that’s a good thing! Cheers, Jamie and here’s to the continued success of Listverse!
I still remember getting the chills listening to many of the recordings on the Incredible Recordings list, it was pretty much what hooked me on this site. Keep up the good work!
July 1st, 2009 at 9:44 am
woot!!!! been here for all two years and you can expect me to be here for many more! happy bday listverse!
July 1st, 2009 at 9:49 am
Congratulations on another great year Jamie! For some reason I felt a connection to this site when I first started reading your lists. The comments seemed to be thoughtful and intelligent and were not full of profanity for no rhyme or reason. I found myself learning just as much from the comments as the list itself. This is a rare quality if you compare it to comments on other popular sites. I also appreciated the respect and appreciation you gave to the people commenting from very early on and you still show that even after the success of the site. I will also never forget how neat it felt when my first list was published (Top 10 Memorable Movie Stunts) I have been hooked on writing more lists ever since and I now consider it one of my favorite hobbies. Congratulations again Jamie and I am looking forward to your future lists and the comments from all the Listversers.
Travis, that was a cool song.
July 1st, 2009 at 9:53 am

I’ve been visiting this site for more than a year and a half and had no idea that it shares a birthday with Canada Day!
Long live Listverse!

Happy Birthday!
Productivity has gone down at my job since finding you but I’m not too concerned about that…
Keep up the great work!
July 1st, 2009 at 11:05 am
It would be pretty ironic if this list became the new number one most popular lists ever
July 1st, 2009 at 11:23 am
Happy Birthday Listverse. I shudder to think how mundane my life would’ve been these last two years without having LV around to break up the monotony of doing stuff like, you know, my actual job. I’d probably end up having to venture out of my mom’s basement more often and interact with living breathing humans. Thank you Listverse for saving me from that cruel fate!
July 1st, 2009 at 11:37 am
Well well, (draws breath), two years and still going as strong as ever. What a wicked job you have landed yourself JF – real jammy, jamie. I can’t remember how and why I ended up ensnared and shackled to this hulking beast – but I do remember the first time I wrote a list, and the joy (i.e. humiliation/embarrassment) when it was actually published and thrust onto the world. Oh the shame…
I can’t sing ‘Happy Birthday’ because the song is copyright and they’ll probably sue YOU for… oh what the hell – I don’t care if they sue you.
(EVERYBODY!)
Happy Birthday to you,
Put your nose in dog poo,
Kick a nutter in the gutter,
And stick his mouth closed with glue.
@bucslim (50): Very Very funny, well caught. g (sniffs) Is that…?? (sniff, sniff) is that… beaver ass juice I can smell??
@blogball (80): So modest in your modesty. I can see you – with that cheesy grin
And No.1 list too. Yeah, yeah…laugh it up.
July 1st, 2009 at 11:40 am
happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you…happy birtheday dear Listverse…happy birthday to you!!!
i wish you maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaany more
July 1st, 2009 at 11:46 am
Congratulations, Jamie and everyone who has contributed to the success of LV! It’s been two years of absolutely wonderful fun and education, lots of new friends made (and a few who disappeared into the ether), and some memorable trollz!
Its been fun.
I can only hope that my site (no, everyone, nothing like this) is as successful in it’s own way!
Again, congrats!

I too am a List Verse junkie I read the list every day and sometimes comment. I don’t know how it’s possible to come up with and publish a new list every day. I’m amazed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISTVERSE!
(Sorry for Caps, but this occassion called for it)… I can’t believe I haven’t read some of these! Will definitely be doing some more trawling through older Lists.
July 1st, 2009 at 6:16 pm
Happy birthday, Listverse! I’ve been a loyal visitor for the last six months, have read nearly all the lists (no admin lists, and I may read the Your View columns someday), and still enjoy coming here.
I’m surprised that the list from a few months ago about Excuses people make for hating America didn’t make the list. Didn’t it have about 850-1000 comments last time I looked? I know the Creationism topic in Your View is also immensely popular too.
Anyway, happy anniversary, and here’s to many more lists!
July 1st, 2009 at 6:18 pm
Okay, the one list is 1700 comments and counting, but still…
July 1st, 2009 at 6:51 pm
Happy Birthday Listverse!
I am so happy this website exists! I’ve been visiting this site for a year and a half now, and I’m so excited for the lists to come. As an avid listmaker myself, I can appreciate wha it takes to compile these lists. A big “Thank You” is owed to all contributors on my part, because if it wasn’t for you guys, I wouldn’t get my list fix everyday. Keep up the good work Listversers’!
July 1st, 2009 at 7:32 pm
Congrats !! Nice job.
July 1st, 2009 at 7:58 pm
Congrats! And thank you very much for keeping me entertained for hours when business is running slow at work!
July 1st, 2009 at 8:31 pm
Happy Birthday Listverse!!
Congratulations, I love this site, it’s very informative, just started reading those lists a month ago, and am still catching up on your archives.
For more lists to come, tagay!!
July 1st, 2009 at 8:32 pm
Jamie – Thanks for the two years of this awesome website! I am definitely an addict, especially to the forums. (Thanks for letting us have our own little forum game making fun of YOU!) You have a great sense of humor, which is just ONE of the many things I admire about you. You should be proud of all the hard work you’ve done and of the sweet smell of success.
Conga-rats, Fearless Leader!

Thanks everyone for the great supportive comments
It certainly makes the job much easier for me! I am really hoping that over the next year we can grow exponentially and I am looking forward (as much as you all are) to some amazing lists. Let’s make year 3 our best ever!
July 1st, 2009 at 10:19 pm
Happy Birthday Listverse! Thanks for all the hard work Jamie, Dangor, Mom, and Cyn!
Some of my favorite lists:

10 Hilarious Listverse Comments
Top 15 X-Rated Plants
10 Misconceptions About Common Sayings

Top 10 Guitarists You Don’t Know

congrast wishing u that this keeps on going on and on and on ……..and on.
July 1st, 2009 at 11:21 pm
Again nice list, and they are already at Listverse. I hope for many more to come. I could make a list of the people I tell about Listverse. It is always when they ask “where do I get interesting facts from??
July 1st, 2009 at 11:44 pm
Jamie, accidentally stumbled upon the site maybe 2 months after you started it and have made it a must stop almost everyday to see what is next. Love it how there are some lists that have informed me of material ( books, artists, philosophers, etc.) that I did not even know existed. Also the weird and creepy ( recording of an exorcism!). Keep up the great work!
July 1st, 2009 at 11:59 pm
I loved this site. I found it almost right at the beginning and was pretty active for a while- and supportive. Well I think it sucks now. Ok. Maybe thats way to harsh – but the lists are just… I don’t know. There’s not as much substance at all. The lists used to be so much more reliable. I remember, when I read and enjoyed almost every new list. Now I occasionally stop in too sift through the junk and see if there is anything good. I don’t comment anymore because I’m always tempted to just write “This list sucks.” JFrater, I know you care about the community of people here but the site itself isn’t “your baby” anymore- a lot of these lists are junk. Sorry. I have to take my angst out on someone.
July 2nd, 2009 at 12:23 am
happy birthday, listverse! i love you!
July 2nd, 2009 at 1:39 am
Congratulations to all, especially Jamie, of course.
July 2nd, 2009 at 2:03 am
Worst. List. Ever.
Given how often I have read that over the past year (it seemed a lot less prevalent prior to that) I am surprised LV has made it to 2yo. But hey even Dickheads push up the visitor count right?
Seriously though great site JF, even though I STILL haven’t seen my list published
j/k
Cyn, Good to see you amongst the comments again. I thought we had lost you after that overdose of anti-troll patrolling you had earlier this year? late last?
Thanks not only to J and the mods but also the range of remarkably well informed (dare I say Intelligent?) commenters who have made the comments more readable than lists on occasion.
Happy Birthday All
Lee

Jfrater i think its about time for another list about mysteries, those are soooo cool.
In fact, finding a link on yahoo for the original top 10 mysteries is how I got into LV in the first place!
July 2nd, 2009 at 2:43 am
oh man i forgot to mention. One of my favorite lists of all time is the one on top 10 tips to follow to get away with murder, followed by top 10 ways to survive prison LOL!
I am actually surprised that one wasnt more controversial than the suicide one. I guess I understand where some people are coming from, but i still think that one should have stayed up.
July 2nd, 2009 at 2:59 am
Ah, nostalgia! Still love the site, Mr Frater, and I don’t say so often enough these days. Next year in Jerusalem!
July 2nd, 2009 at 4:06 am
@k1w1taxi & anyone else who mentioned me..yes, i’m still here. thanx for noticing.
its been an amazing coupla years, eh? good to see so many ‘faces’ have stuck around. & happy that J is continuing to crank ‘em out, hoping he’ll do so for as long as he wants to.
July 2nd, 2009 at 5:24 am
I notice on the “about” page that there are 965 lists on the site. (How? One per over two days should be approx 730 lists – or did you publish two per day for some of the time?) Anyhow, that means that in about a month there’ll be list number 1000, which might mean another special, celebratory list.
Hi Cyn. Hi k1w1taxi. I’m not on quite so much as I was when I was in living in Korea.
July 2nd, 2009 at 6:32 am
The suicide list reminds me of a fiction I read by Hiro0911… with a main character named Ben Faraday, a corpulent and suicidal man who considers himself a total failure, even in his 759 suicide attempts that all failed.
Here’s the link to the story:

*hopes that HTML works in comments*
July 2nd, 2009 at 6:33 am
Yay! HTML works in comments! Anyway, I’ve been a silent reader since the site begun. I only commented recently.
July 2nd, 2009 at 6:43 am
i was wunnerin(as i usually do when im bored….)if your idea for this web site originated from the “book of lists”series printed in the 80’s(or thereabouts)…i also found those to interesting as well…dont ever change your style because the lists and the comments afterwards kepp me entertained for hours(ok minutes maybe) but it’s all an interesting read.
July 2nd, 2009 at 7:42 am

hi ya! actually think J was publishing more than a list a day initially. as for hitting 1000 lists..yeah, that should definitely be noted & celebrated.
July 2nd, 2009 at 8:26 am
congrats LV on your 2nd year! I’m really glad i accidentally viewed this site when i was looking for the top 10 list of bad ass game characters…and then i saw some bad ass *something* in here…i’ve never stopped checking this site everyday since then…by the way,can we get the next mysterious list asap?can’t hardly wait.
July 2nd, 2009 at 9:07 am
Ah, I remember the suicide list.
IMO it sucked because of the writing (“Pondering the emptiness in one’s life can be a painful experience. Yet, when it all seems so overwhelming, you might decide to plummet from a significant height to your own death.”) I mean, what the hell? There was so much stuff that could have been included but wasn’t (no statistics, for example).
Still, the fact that you had to remove it is even worse than the list itself.
Finally; Happy Birthday, List Universe!
July 2nd, 2009 at 1:14 pm
I have 13 lists open right now, which I all have to read. Lol. That should tell you how much I love this site.
I can’t say I’ve been there from the beginning, but it’s definitely one of my favourites now.
Happy birthday and continue rockin’ the world!
July 2nd, 2009 at 4:30 pm
Wow, 2 years? Can’t believe it’s been that long!
Anyways, Happy Birthday LV, and congratulations Jamie!!
I love this site, I spent a whole week after I first found it reading through every single list on here, and then was very disappointed when I’d read them all and had to wait until the next morning to read a new one..
Can’t wait for the next 2 years!!
July 2nd, 2009 at 7:08 pm
@Patrask (135):
The writing style is actually good in the poetic sense, but since this is a site about facts, you got a point in the statistics thing. (or maybe I’m just angsty? I have been suicidal several times before in my life. Thank God I’m happy now, and whether you believe it or not, it’s this wicked-sexy video game character that cheered me up! Not telling you who he/she is though…)
And too bad… the suicide list was actually my favorite! After that would be the bizarre lists and the humor lists.
July 2nd, 2009 at 7:12 pm
oh wait, there are statistics in the start of the list, but not adequate though. There should be for each item on the list. Like, how many percent of suicidal people choose to commit suicide by *PLACE WAY OF COMMITTING SUICIDE HERE…*? And chance of success/failure?
July 3rd, 2009 at 9:14 am
Excellent site! Happy Birthday!!!
As for suicide/censorship debate… Mmmm – It’s a list site… You do the maths!!!
Can’t please everyone I suppose!
July 5th, 2009 at 8:24 pm
Happy Birthday Listverse… still one of my favs….. which you all wouldn’t be so damn serious all the time though…bring back the strange and unusual lists….
July 7th, 2009 at 2:19 am
wat do i get in exchange if I submit a lot of lists….
actually, i have tons of interesting lists here in my mind right now, but im thinking of what advantages will i get.
July 8th, 2009 at 3:05 am
Listverse is 2 years old already? Time sure flies fast. I only replied now because I haven’t checked in weeks ago.
July 8th, 2009 at 4:19 pm
Happy birthday ListVerse
I have to say, one of the things I love most about this site is the comments. I’ve been here for almost the whole 2 years, and I have rarely seen disrespectful or vulgar comments. To have an online community where everyone respects everyone elses opinion(well, most of the time) is an amazing feat and should really be celebrated.
Like Bad Hair Bear, when I first found this site I spent the next week reading every list. I check back as much as I can for new lists, and enjoy them very much. I have told all my friends about this website, and quote it a lot.
Keep up the good work Jamie. I can’t wait to see how the next year goes.
July 15th, 2009 at 1:48 am
My personal favourite items on this list are, Top 10 Amazing Facts About Dreams, Top 10 Unsolved Mysteries, Top 15 Amazing Coincidences and 10 Fascinating Last Pictures Taken.
July 16th, 2009 at 2:59 am
happy birthday listverse!
you have entertained me endlessly
thanks j frater!!
July 20th, 2009 at 10:02 am
These are some good lists here. I’m personally sick of the political ones, but that’s just me.
July 30th, 2009 at 10:16 am
@Ouroboros (1): I LOVE RED DWARF!!!
July 31st, 2009 at 2:49 pm
Happy Birthday Listverse! It’s my birthday too!
November 28th, 2009 at 4:41 pm
It’s quite hard to find episodes of Red Dwarf but after much searching I headed to http://www.reddwarfepisodes.blogspot.com and problem solved. seemed like they had every episode so its a good site to use.
