I love horror movies, but The Mist????? NO NO! They butchered the book into that half bait movie! and the ‘twist’ at the end was not worth the wait. Otherwise, i like this list!

ahhh I really did not enjoy Martyr’s. The first half was a great movie and then it turned into torture *****. But the res tof the list is great, [Rec] was an excellent movie. I also loved loved loved Let the Right One In.

What the hell.. I started watching The Mist’ due to the review on this site and I am BAFFLED that you would give that 10/10. This movie is rubbish. The story itself is fine- but the acting is awful and unbelievable. And the cg they used is totally B movie quality- they would’ve been better off making puppets.
I thought this list had some credit due to the inclusion of Saw and The Descent but now I’m having second thoughts. There’s no way in hell any real horror buff would give ‘The Mist’ a 10/10 except on April Fools.

As an American I do have to agree with some of the comments. Yes we do tend to use alot of brighter lighting and cheesy theatrical dialogs. There are times where American remakes aren’t as scary but I wouldn’t say butchered. I also enjoy the originals due to the darker feel which in turn tends to make them scarier. However, I saw Rec and then Quarantine and they were almost identical. I just gotta say though, for all of those saying American movies suck, lets take a look back at the list and see there are several American movies on it.
