New techniques, methods and strategies arise over the years that demolish your defences and attacks. If you are a Grandmaster now and stop playing Chess for 5 years, then return to the game. Then you will be worser than you were. It’s a very time consuming thing Chess.

Anand should be in the list… you can place him in Ten. (i guess the criteria used are length of domination, contribution to chess theory, contribution to chess popularity)

I guessed because the great Mikhail Tal is not included. He is all sheer brilliance!!
