I was in Nuremberg, Germany a couple of years back and I met this 60-ish gentleman who said &#039;OK&#039; originated from Germany (maybe Nuremberg, I forgot) but its the initials of a aeroplane / mercedez &#039;dial gauge&#039; engineer. He&#039;d test the gauges (maybe even fit) but upon his approval he&#039;d engrave &#039;OK&#039; for Otto something at the back of these gauges.
The old gentleman can be found frequenting Nuremberg&#039;s yearly technology expo, distributing CD&#039;s about Nuremberg. Ye better speaketh them German...]]></description>
