your a fucking idiot, I know you posted this 60 weeks ago but jesus. If you don't know about something you don't care. The NFL happens to be the most successful sports league in the world. Every year more people tune into the Super Bowl (the title game) than any other sporting broadcast in the world. More than the world cup or any part of the Olympics. Just because something is "American" doesn't mean that it should be overlooked completely. People that keep saying that piss me off.

in moment #1, you should have said, "did any team seem so dominant as the 2007 PATRIOTS." they were te undefeated ones. plus, the giants sure as hell did not have five receivers that could start elsewhere; tyree himself was cut two years after the catch.

oh, and super bowl 3 should have been number one.

Good lord, I played soccer and football in high school and was annoyed then as now at the stupidity of the defenders of both sports. Football players create massive collisions equal to a car accident for play after play. It is brutal. Anyone pointing to the padding as making these guys wusses, has never actually worn it. It is geared for the hitter, not the hittee. Soccer was great. It was more physical than I thought and more tiring than football, I like watching both and can't understand the defensiveness of both fans. It is lame.

By the way, that Philly fan wrote:

This list was great and so are any list about the NFL… Honestly im glad most of you don’t like the NFL, We don’t need some overweight people who bitch and moan all day..

Go Eagles!!!

...Ironically, Philadelphia was voted 'America's fattest' city or some similar title. I lived there for several years, and can attest to the validity of that dubious distinction. Speaking of sports, arguably the worst 'fans' in the country (USA). A bunch of fair weather fans and fat-mouthed bores. But again, they are relatively benign when compared to those idiot soccer fans.

These lists are always debated, due in part, to people not bothering to read the quantifying remarks... Most memorable moments is really subjective. Would like to see; 'Top 10 Greatest NFL Games', 'Top 10 Greatest (unscripted) Plays', e.g., Immaculate Reception, "Top 10 Greatest (scripted) plays" e.g., Music City Miracle, "Top 10 Game Winning Drives" e.g., The Drive,so on and so forth. A lot of factors play into determining 'greatest play' (or in this case 'moment')...

Comparing David Tyree's catch and Santonio Holmes catch is a good example of why these types of lists are so difficult. Both were made in similar circumstances,i.e., closing moments of a Super Bowl, but Tyree's was an incredible circus catch of a ball that was essentially thrown up for grabs. The catch by Holmes was a thing of beauty; body fully extended and toe-tap of a precisely thrown high velocity ball to win the Super Bowl...
