Contained here-in are “Stopover In A Quiet Town”, which presents an unexpected, off-kilter consequence of drinking and driving; “Elegy”, about 3 astronauts who land on an asteroid that is a cemetery (a comment on a hateful war-mongering world); “Hocus Pocus & Frisby”, a comedy about a blowhard, and of course, the classic “Time Enough At Last” (I can empathize as I love to read as well). The hour-long segments took a bit of critical flak as some believed that the dramatic element could not be sustained over 60 minutes. Some did fall into that category, but “On Thursday We Leave For Home” was excellent. It detailed the acquisition, need and the consequences of a loss of POWER. James Whitmore put on a superb performance in that story.
