Shampoo strips the hair of grease, dirt and styling product that will build up in the hair strand. Conditioner smooths the now open hair cuticle down, protects and increases shine and softness.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but on #19 (speed of light NOT constant), wouldn't they be changing the _conditions_ to slow down the ray of light, rather than slowing down the ray of light itself? Or does that have zero relevance to the criteria of the experiment?

And the people on the Mayflower weren't Puritans, per se, though I see that's been mentioned.

Entertaining list, by the way, that just got me curious . :D

I realize I'm adding this WAY after the fact, but I'm reading the archives.

Whether or not lobsters can feel pain is still VERY much in dispute:

not enough this vitamin has led people to becoming a victim of depression. Seasonal Affective Disorder and depression stem in the lack of Vitamin D. Physicians recommend supplements to improve the levels of Vitamin D from a person’s body. Supplements are highly recommended those of you that live in high altitude climates or while in the northern parts of the nation, as the level of sunlight is more affordable. Vitamins and other natural remedies can be used to help alleviate the signs and symptoms. There are many clues of depression that vary from individual to individual. It can range through very mild to incredibly severe. Some signs are an increase or loss of weight, changes in resting habits, change in pursuits, tiredness, fatigue, feelings that not a soul likes them, nervousness, thoughts of guilt and suicidal views.
