Does the name Conrad Dobler of the old St. Louis Cardinals of the NFL ring a bell with anybody ??? He was an example of being just downright NASTY !!!! I give honorable mention to Jack “The Assassin” Tatum of the old Oakland Raiders. Go on to YOU TUBE and watch the hit Tatum put on Daryl Stingley of the N.E. Patriots which paralyzed him from the neck down.

The sad thing about this list is that virtually every hit shown in the posted videos would get these players a flag, a fine, or a suspension. The game has been ruined by the MBAs who pay too much for high profile players and then distort the rules of the game to protect their investments.

None of these guys would be allowed to play this way now. That’s why I don’t watch NFL football anymore. If I want to see endless debates and reviews about calls, then I’d go to an appellate court in my spare time.

how many rugby players bench 380, run a 4.5 second 40 yard dash (or 36.5 meters) and change direction instantly? Add to the fact that football is mostly open field, full speed contact, and that rugby is in confined spaces, and your argument holds no merit.
