Not only was Beethoven a Great Composer but he revolutionized the way symphonies were composed as far as the length of them. Back around Haydn's and Mozart's day (when Beethoven was just a young boy) a symphony at best was 30 minutes in length. Then Beethoven composed his 3rd symphony "Eroica" which a prescribed score is between 50-55 minutes and the music world was taken aback. Also Beethoven had no peer when it came to sight reading music and before his impending deafness had no peer when it came to playing and improvising on the piano. Treat yourself and listen to both his 4th and 5th Piano Concerto.......

I'm still a Huge KISS fan and the only reality show that I ever watch is "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" (that's when its on, which should be everyday). And I am 49 years old!!! But simply because of the length of Paul Stanley's (Stanley Eisen) hair, I never would have known. I also see that Paul is a painter as well. I would not mind having one of his painting's on my wall. Thanks for that info that you have submitted

I just wanted to clear up something about Paul Stanley's Microtia. He spoke of it on "the Drs" as a level 3 Microtia, which meant that not only was the outer ear unformed/malformed, between the outer ear and the inner ear (where all the workings are that translate sound for us)--there is no ear canal. And yes, he had this from birth. I think he has a bone anchored device now, but here's something interesting a former bandmate said. Bruce Kulick said Paul has perfect pitch--when the band rehearsed, he was the first to notice someone was off key.

If you don't like KISS that's ok by me, most of you are at least being respectful about it.

You should have included James dePriest, conductor of the Oregon Symphony Orchestra from 1980-2003. I was surprised the first time I saw him come on stage since he has to use crutches to walk. I'm not sure what caused the disability.
