Pitcairn island is totally out of place on this list. Unlike the others ion this list, it has never asserted independence, even as a joke. It is a British territory.

“Most don’t know” that the Bounty mutineers settled on Tahiti and Pitcairn? Come one, people are not that ignorant, everybody knows that.

And you repeat the totally false Hollywood stereotype that Bligh was “evil”. In fact he was among the most liberal and humane officers in the navy at that time. The mutineers were driven by a desire to live in a tropical paradise where women were freely available and willing to fornicate with them no strings attached at any time they wanted. The official enquiry into the mutiny, and all other non-official serious investigations of the matter, have found that Bligh was totally blameless. Bligh was then promoted and the mutineers relentlessly hunted down and punished by the British authorities.

1) Pitcairn is a British overseas territory
2) Mollosia is the 2nd most famous micronation in the world and widely respected in the micronational community.
3) Sealand should be first as they are the only ones to actually have proper independence.
4) Please do some research into micronations before claiming you know about them.

what about the republic of whongamomona, in taranaki NZ. every year they have a national holiday where they give out passports to visitors and hold events such as sheep racing, whip cracking, possum skinning and helicopter rides to view the republic. it’s so much fun
