Really? I found it to be quite eerie. It didn’t really do much in terms of supporting the shows main plot lines, however I don’t think that was the intention in the first place. Also, the makeup for the creature was very well done, so I appreciate it from that aspect.
I guess it comes down to personal opinion and inner fears I suppose. The thought of an asexual, sucker fish lookin’ creature living in the sewers gives me the hebejebes.

I watched the X Files with my dad as a kid every Friday night when it originally aired. I was quite young then so the episodes I remember seem to be the ones that captured my imagination the most.
Now that I’m re watching them as an adult I’m picking up just how terrific the writing and directing was. I obviously follow and understand the plot completely now as well as the running themes of the show but I’m definitely finding that I’m appreciating The X Files on a whole new level. Chris Carter is amazing. Watching it again is like a revelation for me! Haha..

10. Small Potatoes (on the list)
11. Unusual Suspects
12. Detour
I should add that I’m actually re0watching this series on Netflix, just finished an episode. So these episodes are only from the first 5 seasons.

Seeing as this is the top 15 motw episodes I think its perfect, except for one thing. Gotta have the episode “Ice”. It is such a classic episode, it has everything, its tense, chilling, thought provoking, and overall masterfully directed/produced/acted, etc..

I really enjoyed the episode showing the Cigarette Man’s involvement in assassinations.
