January 2008 Update

As you all know, I am currently on holiday in New Zealand. I have another week left and will then be heading home. You will have noticed that the number of new lists has been considerably fewer than usual which is because I am trying to squeeze in as many visits to friends and family as I can before leaving. In a week things will return to normal. If you have a list idea or a list, be sure to send them in now as it will help me a lot in the upcoming week (which is now fully booked with events).

Just paying the bills…

The logo competition is coming along well with a reasonable number of submissions so far, but please be sure to send in your ideas for consideration.

Thanks to Cyn and all our regulars who are taking the time to comment and respond to comments in my absence. I am looking forward to being able to chatter in the comments again when I return home.

it is understandable that people would come to this site solely for the lists and not notice the linkage to the blog or forums. or not keep track of commenting on other lists via comments feeds. so some things are just missed. like posts or comments about being offsite etc.

people do see what they want to see.

still..hopefully some folks are ‘getting it’ that there is more to the site than lists and comments. oh, like ads?

i would suggest folks do take a moment to familiarize themselves w/ the whole page…you might find stuff worth reading in more depth or maybe something worth buying?

Awesome. ^_^ I’m further north than Wellington, but it gives me a sort of buzz to think that Jfrater is a real person and on the same island as me. Hard to explain, but an intense good feeling.

I love NZ too…plenty of early mornings (3a.m India time) when i was a kid and NZ India matches on TV. It’s really beautiful..

jfrater, I’m glad your having a great time. You should be a top ten of your holiday snaps. Nothing personal just scenic and interesting shots.

One of my very good friends is on holiday in Oz and Nz. He goes out for two months with his girlfriend, who is from NZ.

Totally random comment but it’s relevant to me, he he.
