Listverse Widgets

In order to make our lists more accessible to our users, we have created some widgets. The first is a Facebook Application, the second is a web widget which anyone can put on their website and customize as they please, and the third is a Dashboard Widget for Mac OS X users.

The Web Widget

We are very pleased to announce the Listverse Web Widget (v1.0). This widget can be placed on your webpage and it will display from 1 - 10 of the latest articles published here (you decide how many). You can customise the colours and size of the widget to suit any page.

This is what the widget looks like:

Installation

Installation is easy! Just copy the code from the box below and paste it into the code of your own website.

Configuration

Configuration is done via the URL in the widget link above. You can add or change any of the following parameters on the main URL: showcount How many items to show from 1 to 10, eg: showcount=7 bordercol Color of the border backcol Color of the title background rowcol Color of the main rows altrowcol Color of the alternative rows linkcol Color of the links to the various topics altlinkcol Color of the links in the alternative rows footercol Color of the "listverse.com" text at the bottom of the widget titletext Color of the text in the title box width Width of the widget (remember to change the width of the iframe if you modify this)

Don't include the # symbol on any of the colours. Here is a sample of a customised widget:
