Top 20 Geek Movies Of All Time
Published on January 27, 2008 - 588 Comments
[The list includes a competition - details below] If you have not seen at least 15 of these movies, you can hand in your geek membership card right now - or you can buy them and join the ranks of the enlightened! So, here are the top 20 Geek movies of all time (in no particular order except number 1). Use the comments to tell us which of these movies are the top five.
20. Pirates of Silicon Valley 1999, Martyn Burke
![]()
I love this movie! It tells the tale of the start of Microsoft and Apple and has a brilliant cast who do a great job of portraying their characters. Noah Wyle (as Steve Jobs) was so good that he was invited to walk on stage at an Apple Conference to pretend he was Steve Jobs - the audience were fooled (briefly) and it has become a great moment in Apple conference history.
19. Short Circuit 1986, John Badham

Number 5 is alive! Number 5 of a group of experimental robots in a lab is electrocuted, suddenly becomes intelligent, and escapes. Another brilliant geek movie from the 80s - there must have been something in the water that decade.
18. Hackers 1995, Iain Softley

This is my least favorite movie on the list because it is so corny and far fetched - it hardly gives a good representation of “hackers” - nevertheless it was extremely popular (I think mostly with the Eternal September crowd). Alas most of us are still waiting for October, 1993. Angelina Jolie is probably the only redeeming feature of this movie.
17. Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan 1982, Nicholas Meyer

There had to be at least one Star Trek movie on this list so I have picked my favorite (and it stars the original Captain Kirk!) In this movie, Admiral Kirk’s midlife crisis is interrupted by the return of an old enemy looking for revenge and a potentially destructive device.
16. WarGames 1983, John Badham

A young man finds a back door into a military central computer in which reality is confused with game-playing, possibly starting World War III. This film is a hilarious look back at early home computers. It was so popular it was nominated for 3 oscars!
15. Repo Man 1984, Alex Cox

I can’t say much about this cult classic without giving away important story elements, so I will just give you the plot line: Young punk Otto becomes a repo man after helping to steal a car, and stumbles into a world of wackiness as a result. This is a film that is often underrated but it is brilliant for its time and has aged well.
14. Planet of the Apes 1968, Franklin J. Schaffner

I am talking about the original series of movies, not the recent film with Mark Wahlberg. Planet of the Apes is brilliantly conceived and well executed. It makes you laugh, it makes you cry. “Glory be the Bomb and to the Holy Fallout!” These films will captivate you.
13. Alien Quadrilogy 1979, Ridley Scott

Aliens, androids, alien planets, Sigourney Weaver kicking ass, and Ridley Scott directing - could there be a better combination?
12. Akira 1988, Katsuhiro Ôtomo

A secret military project endangers Neo-Tokyo when it turns a biker gang member into a rampaging psionic psychopath that only two kids and a group of psionics can stop. This is, perhaps, the greatest animated movie of all time! Stunning.
11. Pi 1998, Darren Aronofsky

This is definitely the weirdest film on the list. It is by Darren Aronofsky - famous for his Requiem for a Dream. The outline of the film is: “A paranoid mathematician searches for a key number that will unlock the universal patterns found in nature” - what could be cooler than that?
10. Office Space 1999, Mike Judge

While this was not a successful film at the theaters, it has become a cult success. “Peter Gibbons, thanks to a hypnotic suggestion, decides not to go to work at the same time his company is laying people off. When layoffs affect his two best friends, they conspire to plant a virus that will embezzle money from the company into their account.” You must see this film if you have not already.
9. The Original Star Wars 1977, George Lucas

The most recent 3 films were junk - there is no denying it, but the first three were and are brilliant masterpieces of science fiction film making.
8. The Matrix 1999, Larry and Andy Wachowski

The first movie of the trilogy is the best and really stands alone as one of the best geek movies ever. There is not a geek who doesn’t love the Matrix.
7. Metropolis 1927, Fritz Lang

One of the first sci-fi movies, Metropolis is as important now as the day it was filmed. “It is the future, and humans are divided into two groups: the thinkers, who make plans (but don’t know how anything works), and the workers, who achieve goals (but don’t have the vision).”
6. Brazil 1985, Terry Gilliam

To not include a film by Terry Gilliam on a list like this would be a mortal sin! This film is set in a futuristic bureaucracy and features some amazing images and concepts and is an amazing comedy of errors.
5. Serenity 2005, Joss Whedon

The plot: River Tam and her brother Simon are hiding out from the totalitarian government that experimented with River’s brain aboard the space-freighter Serenity. It is really pleasing to see such high quality sci-fi being produced still. This is a must-see movie.
4. Lord of the Rings 2001, Peter Jackson

You knew this would be here didn’t you? This list would be a dismal failure if it did not include the Lord of the Rings. Best of all, it was made in beautiful New Zealand!
3. Spaceballs 1987, Mel Brooks

Planet Spaceball’s President Skroob sends Lord Dark Helmet to steal Planet Druidia’s abundant supply of air to replenish their own, and only Lone Starr can stop them. Simply hilarious.
2. Bladerunner 1982, Ridley Scott

A remarkable film that is sure to excite every geek. The fact that it stars Harrison Ford gives it even more brownie points - who can hate a film with Indie in it?!
1. 2001 1968, Stanley Kubrick

This film has to be number 1 - it has stunning photography, great acting, and a brilliant story line by Arthur C. Clarke. Any geek that does not like this film is not a true geek.
Bonus: TRON 1982, Steven Lisberger

You have to watch this film - if only for the corniness. A hacker is literally abducted into the world of a computer and forced to participate in gladiatorial games where his only chance of escape is with the help of a heroic security program.
Competition!
The competition is simply this: whoever writes the 100th and 200th legitimate comment will win their choice of any one DVD off this list. The rules? The comment must be made by a registered user - so register now if you haven’t already. In addition, any comments obviously designed to increase the number in order to win will be discounted.
Notable Extras: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Fifth Element, Shaun of the Dead, Sin City, Robocop

1. Fallenangel - January 27th, 2008 at 7:07 am
I don’t think it’s sad I’ve seen quite a few of these movies, and I liked them too… I must be a geek too not just a dork
2. andrijzip - January 27th, 2008 at 7:07 am
Good list, but where is Revenge of the Nerds?
3. Fallenangel - January 27th, 2008 at 7:08 am
OMG first how’d that happen, by the way good list thanx :)(:
4. Joel - January 27th, 2008 at 7:16 am
Wow, there are a few geek movies to be added:
Primer (Sundance winner about time travel)
Antitrust (computer geeks trying to kill each other)
Weird Science (80s geeks creating a girl for themselves)
I would give the top five to: Serenity, Lord of the Rings, Bladerunner, Star Wars, and Metropolis (because Metropolis is the original geek story; a scientist attempts to find love by creating a robot woman)
5. me - January 27th, 2008 at 7:17 am
i cant believe tht tron is only bonus its my favourite movie ever and its “corniness” i dont believe it had any just a great movie
6. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 7:19 am
andrijzip: I loved revenge of the nerds! It would be included if the list were larger
Fallenangel: congrats and thanks
Joel: Weird Science was close to making the list - I haven’t seen Antitrust - I will check it out. I am surprised you wouldn’t include 2001 in the top 5.
7. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 7:20 am
me: the bonus one would be 21 - so it came very very close. I have put it on another list on the site too - so fear not - it is valued here
8. christopherborne - January 27th, 2008 at 7:53 am
where’s swordfish?
9. JwJwBean - January 27th, 2008 at 8:03 am
With the bonus I have for sure seen 12 of these movies. I might have seen a few others, but can’t remember. I thought I had seen Hackers and Repo Man, but I do not remember the stories. I wonder if I was not able to sit all the way through them. I know I have tried to watch Brazil, but I think I got lost and stopped. I will have to send my husband to see this list. I bet he has seen most if not all.
10. petey mcgee - January 27th, 2008 at 8:07 am
what about sneakers? 1992 i think. robert redford, sidney portier, river pxoenix? and alien and aliens yes, the entire quadrilogy no. and not that i entirely disagree with the current rank but having star wars anywhere but top 3 will result in many flames. the whole star wars thing is a whole new level of nerd.
11. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 8:13 am
What about The Wizard and Real Genius?
12. JwJwBean - January 27th, 2008 at 8:17 am
I am curious. What was the criteria for it to be a “geek” movie? Was it that mainly geeks liked it?
Oh and is Pi appropriate for my 13 yr old son to see? He is fascinated with Pi.
13. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 8:20 am
JwJwBean: from memory Pi should be safe for him to watch - but hopefully someone else can give you an insight - it has been a long time since I saw it.
petey mcgee: seriously considered it
Also, note that the list is randomly ordered - it was impossible to rank all of these films against each other.
14. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 8:22 am
oh- JwJwBean: the criteria was that it had to be a film that geeks would enjoy or films that are cult favorites amongst geeks. Pretty broad target I know
15. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 8:46 am
1. Star Wars IV-VI
2. Alien, Aliens
3. Rings trilogy
4. Matrix (Just the first one)
5. Close Encounters of a Third Kind
Seems Sci Fi- ish. Where’s the Monty Python greats?
16. Harsha - January 27th, 2008 at 8:51 am
LOL!! That DVD cover for Planet Of The Apes is so stupid. I mean they just put the climax of the entire movie on the cover! No suspense to look forward to if your watching for the first time!!
17. JollyJeff - January 27th, 2008 at 8:56 am
My 5 favorites are:
1. The Matrix
2. 2001
3. Tron
4. Sneakers
5. Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Special Edition)
18. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 8:58 am
unhustler: Monty Python is listed in the notable extras.
Harsha: I thought that too! I wonder why they would do that.
19. Mom424 - January 27th, 2008 at 9:01 am
I always liked The Last Star Fighter,,,good for the younger geek crowd…
20. endomental - January 27th, 2008 at 9:02 am
I’ve seen most of these and liked almost all of them. I did *not* like 2001, and stand behind my geekdom proudly.
But where is Galaxy Quest?? Talk about your sci-fi geek movies.
21. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 9:15 am
Galaxy Quest- good one. How about Donnie Darko?
22. teacherman - January 27th, 2008 at 9:16 am
I think The Last Starfighter is a must, I loved that movie.
23. Derek - January 27th, 2008 at 9:17 am
I’ve only seen nine of those. I was once proud of my geekdom….now I have lost it. All hope is lost
24. Derek - January 27th, 2008 at 9:18 am
Oh, and I’ve seen Pi too. I think there is some pretty violent scenes if I remember correctly
25. smac - January 27th, 2008 at 9:46 am
I’ve seen about half of these, so I guess I’m not quite a geek. A dork maybe?
26. D-Bo - January 27th, 2008 at 9:48 am
Short Circuit Rules!
27. CRE - January 27th, 2008 at 9:48 am
You suck. I was only at 14, and so not a nerd, but then you had to put the bonus one in there. Thanks for ruining my self dillusions. Of course, the honourable mentions don’t help either, as they more than push me past the 15 mark. BTW, you might want to rephrase the description for Serenity. It makes it sound like the goverment was experimenting on the girl’s brain aboard Serenity. Also, Galaxy Quest should definitely be there. I hate Star Trek.
28. CRE - January 27th, 2008 at 9:50 am
My bad, geek, not nerd. Either way, I wasn’t going to make the cutoff until the bonus one.
29. islanderbst - January 27th, 2008 at 9:52 am
from this list, my top 5 are
1.aliens (even if resurrection blew)
2. star wars (even if eps 1,2, and 3 blew)
3. office space (which i quote daily!)
4. matrix (even if revolutions blew)
5. planet of the apes (the remake blew)
glad to see some mentions for “sneakers”
30. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 10:12 am
How come ther’s no comic book movies representing? X-Men? Spidey?
31. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 10:20 am
I’ve saw 14 out of these 20, am I still a geek?
32. Lyrebyrd - January 27th, 2008 at 10:20 am
Where is Revenge of the Nerds? The all-time nerd victory!!! Tricky list as it covers movies about geeks and movies for geeks. I would also add Sixteen Candles - lots of great geeks in that one, including Anthony Michael Hall, who is actually credited as “The Geek”.
33. Hannah! - January 27th, 2008 at 10:27 am
You can always tell an intelligent person from a stupid person by asking whether they like Star Wars or Star Trek..
Trekkies ftw!! =D
34. Elizabeth - January 27th, 2008 at 10:35 am
Does ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ count as a geeky film? I certainly feel pretty darn geeky when I quote it on a regular basis.
“I caught you a delicious bass.”
35. Jen - January 27th, 2008 at 10:41 am
I remember when Pirates of Silicon Valley came on TV. My dad made my brother and me sit down and watch it as a “learning experience.” Nice movie, though.
36. christopherborne - January 27th, 2008 at 10:45 am
re: Elizabeth
no, sadly, that makes you a tool.
37. Jen - January 27th, 2008 at 10:46 am
Oh, and the thing with Napoleon Dynamite and Revenge of the Nerds…is this a list of Movies-For-Geeks or Movies-About-Geeks?
And I, for one, was relieved not to see a bunch of comic-based movies on this list.
38. chris - January 27th, 2008 at 10:50 am
This list is fail without Real Genius, Big Trouble in Little China, and Ghostbusters. Unbelievable omissions - major fail.
39. phunniemee - January 27th, 2008 at 10:52 am
Where’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind?
40. Brandon5am - January 27th, 2008 at 10:52 am
Yea I think Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail should have been in there. I mean I don’t know one geek who doesn’t quote that movie.
41. GeekBoy - January 27th, 2008 at 10:57 am
How could any self respecting geek leave Buckaroo Bonzai off the list? I think I might include Logan’s Run too. Did you know that Yoyodyne Propolsion system featured in BB also is an engine manufacturer in the Star Trek world, appears in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and was even mentioned in H.G. Wells War of the Worlds?
42. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 11:09 am
I don’t think that The Fifth Element is a geek movie, more a sci-fi action flick. You shoulda put in Lawnmower Man.
I only got 11, but I can quote huge chunks of Holy Grail, so where does that leave me in Geekdom?
43. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 11:12 am
Uh, sorry for the double post, but was thinking about Fifth Element (notably Milla Jovovich, yum!) and it occurred to me that the Resident Evil series deserves a mention. What could be geekier than a no-plot series based on a video game?
44. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 11:14 am
And, besides, ALL the trekkie movies are TOTALLY for geeks only.
56 more posts to go. haha
45. Stridar - January 27th, 2008 at 11:20 am
In my opinion, remove the ungeeky “Repo-Man” and insert “Real Genius” and you got yourself a list that’s hard to argue with.
Don’t get me wrong, Repo-Man is a fun ride, but it appeals more to the punk and theater crowd than to geeks.
46. _MegZ_ - January 27th, 2008 at 11:36 am
I Love how Alien is on there, I wouldnt really consider it geeky though…
47. NoPunyNerd - January 27th, 2008 at 11:56 am
Quadrilogy? Shouldn’t that be quartet?
Sorry … guess I’m more of a word nerd than a geek. Speaking of which, in Weird Science, when the guys are in the black night club, Jon Michael Hall (I think that’s the actor’s name)calls someone a “malaka” — Greek for a jerk-off. wtf?
48. goof_ball - January 27th, 2008 at 11:57 am
I love Office Space but I hate all the others…
Does that make me a geek?
49. anon - January 27th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
@Chris
true.
50. Yogi Barrister - January 27th, 2008 at 12:06 pm
I just watched SERENITY yesterday and I loved it. I’ve just moved the FIREFLY series to the top of my Netflix queue. Yeah! I’m a geek.
How about THE NET? What’s geekier than geeks thinking they could get a hot chick like Sandra Bullock? Also SUPERBAD should be on this list, and of course NAPOLEAN DYNAMITE as well.
51. Shadow - January 27th, 2008 at 12:16 pm
I’ve seen ten, including “Tron”. But then, I was never a geek, I was a dork, lol.
52. Emily - January 27th, 2008 at 12:16 pm
I’ve only seen 5 of those movies : office space, spaceballs, short circuit, the matrix (which I did not understand AT ALL), and lord of the rings. i’ve never even seen the original planet of the apes!
although, i have honestly never seen any of the original star wars movies. seriously. lol
53. delioglan - January 27th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
well i watched every movie in the first 10, and enjoyed most of them, afraid that makes me a geek, right
54. Emily - January 27th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
goofball - you didnt like spaceballs?? i love all of mel brooks’ movies.
hehe pizza the hut. that’s great.
55. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
What geek didn’t like the nakedness of “Species”?
56. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 12:42 pm
ooh - half way to the first prize!
57. ylekiot - January 27th, 2008 at 12:43 pm
I’m not a geek. Ok 26/26, but not a geek. NO I can’t be a geek! I don’t know you people. Get away!
Alright maybe I’m in denial a little, but I’m still cool right, right, RIGHT!!!
58. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 12:48 pm
hahahahahha
59. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 12:48 pm
If somebody were to win and they chose the alien quadrilogy, would they get all 4?
60. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 12:53 pm
Uh, I think that somebody WILL win. I don’t think that we are going to run out of posts before we get to 100. But good question. Does the same thing apply to Lord of the Rings?
61. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 12:54 pm
Henry: Im not sure, but if i win, I hope I get all 4.
62. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 12:55 pm
jocsboss: probably the same thing.
63. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 12:57 pm
That definitely puzzles me, and i would love to see The Fifthe element up there. That is a geek movie, Aliens, Future History, A language made by the director and Mila Jovovitch. That would be sweet, it’s my favorite movie.
64. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 12:58 pm
Yeah, but do you get the fancy box set, with fake leather case and free Gollum doll, or do you just get the cheapest edition available?
65. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
Henry: yes - the same applies to Planet of the Apes, the Matrix, and Starwars
66. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
Seriously, no one’s mentioned X-Man or Spiderman?!?
67. fishing4monkeys - January 27th, 2008 at 1:01 pm
I guess i’m a geek then because Serenity is a great movie! It’s to bad Firefly got canceled so fast…I think it would definatly still be around if it had originally been picked up by the sci-fi channel.
68. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 1:01 pm
Punisher, Hulk, League of Extrodinary Men…
69. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
x-men and spiderman aren’t geek movies. Neither is Batman or Superman. To me a geek movie is something that the pocket protector people watch and emulate and go “haw, haw, haw! that’s so cool”
70. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
Remember to register if you want to win a prize. If the 100th and 200th comments are by unregistered users, the prize will go to the first comment by a registered user after that.
71. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 1:06 pm
hey jfrater, do you get all of the alien movies and all of the star wars movies, or just one? please, i need some clarification.
72. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 1:06 pm
So geeks don’t read comic books?
73. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 1:08 pm
Unhustler: those are too mainstream, I also think that applies to the matrix, lots of people like it, including non-geeks.
74. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
What’s so “pocket protector” about the Lord of the Rings?
75. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
Sorry, that’s not what I meant. It just seems to me that just because a movie is science fiction, futuristic or based on a comic book doesn’t make it geeky. I actually have a problem with Blade Runner being on the list for this very reason.
76. Brandon5am - January 27th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
Csimmons makes a good point, 4 alien movies or just one?
77. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 1:11 pm
Mainstream? What does that even mean? Some of the best money makers of all time are up there.
78. DiscHuker - January 27th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
unhustler: i loved real genius. did you recognize the guy that lived in the closet, lazlo? he was uncle rico from napoleon dynamite.
79. deloff - January 27th, 2008 at 1:14 pm
I would think you win the same item(s) that the Amazon link goes to.
Glad to see Brazil on the list!
80. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 1:15 pm
use the dictionary, and I have just realized that a lot of these are a little too mainstream.
81. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 1:15 pm
Well, yeah, I don’t think Lord of the Rings should be here.
Thought of another movie though, Idle Hands.
82. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 1:16 pm
I’m a child/teen of the 80s. There’s a ton I would include from that era
83. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
I’ve checked out the amazon links, all of the movies with sequels(like star wars and alien) all come in one box set, so i hope I win, I need something to watch in my off time.
84. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
What was that movie where the two high-school (college?) geeks make the blonde babe in a lab?
85. DiscHuker - January 27th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
short circuit, lol. johnny #5 (a friendly robot come to life), steve guttenberg, ali sheedy and a terrible racial sterotype of a middle eastern person.
ahhh, the 80’s.
86. smac - January 27th, 2008 at 1:19 pm
jocsboss: It was Weird Science.
87. DiscHuker - January 27th, 2008 at 1:19 pm
jocsboss: weird science. what a babe. she made my private places tingle when i was in junior high.
88. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 1:20 pm
I really think Weird Science should have been on the list, great movie.
89. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 1:20 pm
So Henry, should the whole list be scrapped because it sounds like an emo thing to say some movies aren’t geeky enough because they’re “mainstream.”
90. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
DiskHuker: Me too, loved it, wish I could do what they did in real life.
91. DiscHuker - January 27th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
when i saw the title, i was assuming that revenge of the nerds was on here. jayfray, maybe this list needs to be bigger? or perhaps a version 2.0?
92. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
Peter Parker = geek
93. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 1:22 pm
Wow, 9 to go, almost there.
94. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 1:22 pm
Comic books are geek staples.
95. DiscHuker - January 27th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
when a nerdy movie becomes mainstream that just means that it hit a nerve and people were willing to reveal some of their inner geek long enough to enjoy the story.
96. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
What about something like Rocky Horror Picture Show? Should that be on a list like this?
97. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
Any body think The spidey movies should have been on the list? I do
98. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
Almost there

119. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 1:33 pm

120. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
Henry: yeah i do too, but it helps in this contest.
121. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 1:35 pm
The original Star Wars Trilogy
122. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 1:35 pm
sorry for the double post but also it seems as if this was almost more of a tech/sci-fi list, with the exceptions of a few movies, they all seem to be from that genre.
I mean no Monty Python and the Holy Grail!! thats it i’m about to pull out my holy hand grenade!!
123. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 1:36 pm
unhustler: thats what I would have asked for had I won the first time. Can you get it a second time if you win?
124. unhustler - January 27th, 2008 at 1:36 pm
Here’s one more post the help #200, gotta go to work. Peace.
125. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
Csimmons: I don’t see why not.
126. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 1:41 pm
Congrats Unhustler! Email me (jamie @ frater.com) with your request. Now on to number 200! If we reach 300 I will offer the same prize to the 300th comment as well.
127. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 1:43 pm
Jfrater:If unhustler gets the star wars trilogy, and someone wins and they want it too, do they get it?
128. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 1:43 pm
And yes - the same person can will all three prizes.
129. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 1:44 pm
CSimmons: yep - if all three pick the same it doesn’t matter.
130. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
huzzah let the commenting commence!!
on topic: i know that i could wikipedia it, but 2001 is the movie with the computer that goes crazy right? or am i completely off base?
131. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 1:46 pm
At the rate of the last hour we should be at about 500 by supper time in my time zone.
132. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 1:46 pm
Jfrater: thanks, I relly needed to know.
133. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 1:48 pm

More prizes! *jumps up and down*
135. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
Oh and J, does Monty Python count since it was a notable extra?
136. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
and was i the only one who grabbed my bike and started riding right and people and then swerved really quick so that i could pretend i was on a light cycle like on tron….okay so maybe i was stupid question
137. deloff - January 27th, 2008 at 1:50 pm
“My Science Project” was always a fav.
138. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 1:55 pm
Csimmons: Uh… Monty Python isn’t on there… at all.
139. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 1:55 pm
weird science was another one that is pretty high up there for me
also no love for Lost in Space? Danger Will Robinson Danger, c’mon you gotta love it
140. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
Henry: if you look under the competition rules, you will see notable extras, and it has Monty Python and the holy grail, along with some others.
141. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 1:59 pm
Lost in space was only a Television series, I think.
142. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
It is, I didn’t read, The _fine print_
143. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
they came out with a movie based on the series, it didn’t quite have the charm of the series but it was still fairly good
also glad to see some sin city love in the notable extras
144. dvhann - January 27th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
ahahaha, something csimmons and henry are having a race for the movie
145. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
Oh wow, I wish this comment section had edits, I have things to add. I have to ask that question too, I would love to get one of those notable extras. shaun of the dead I already own, but it’s awesome. And the Fifth Elemnt is my favorite movie.
146. JWJWBEAN - January 27th, 2008 at 2:06 pm
OMG! Jamie, what have you started? I leave for a few hours to go to work and come home to 131 emails all from listuniverse. As I was reading to catch up there were 8 more and I am sure more now that I am typing this. I will have to get in touch with someone from this other forum I go to and get you help with the one email sent until you visit the site coding. Although it did tell me we were past the 100 mark
And I agree on Buckaroo Bonsai as a geek movie. The only people I knew who watched it were geeks.
147. Beth - January 27th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
OMG! I’m a geek and didn’t know it. I’ve seen almost all of these. Ha! Fabulous!
148. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
Is the princess bride a geek movie? Geeks ove it.
149. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
also what about total recall? In my opinion its an awesome movie, and since i’m a nerd
my opinion = nerd opinion
thus total recall is a good nerd movie lol
150. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 2:15 pm
Aren’t we all nerds on the inside? But seriously, I am the biggest here…
151. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 2:15 pm
If these comments keep up until about 6 o’clock in my timezone, we should have about 450 comments, and yes i did calculate that, screams geek i know
152. JWJWBEAN - January 27th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
I love Princess Bride, but I don’t think I am a geek. I just married one.
153. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
lol when i watched revenge of the nerds at the end when they start chanting nerds….i can’t help myself i have to chant with them!!
154. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 2:20 pm
I would think the spidey movies or the x-men would be on here, but it is still a great list.
155. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 2:20 pm
for some reason I thinka competition is in order! http://www.innergeek.us/geek.html 65.5468% Geek God!
156. lola - January 27th, 2008 at 2:31 pm
Blade Runner, is amazing, as is anything by Philip K Dick.
157. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 2:33 pm
Phillip K. dick is awesome, do androids dream of electric sheep, masterpiece but blade runner was too unfaithful.
158. Yogi Barrister - January 27th, 2008 at 2:34 pm
If you go by the original meaning of the word, then Tod Browning’s FREAKS is the ultimate geek movie.
159. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 2:34 pm
…..okay you win 19.27837%
I’m almost ashamed!!
160. DiscHuker - January 27th, 2008 at 2:35 pm
henry: wow. i thought it was a good idea. then i saw that it has more questions than the SAT. i guess that describes me enough that i don’t need to take a geek test. if i was more geek i would enjoy the process and the prospect of results.
161. lola - January 27th, 2008 at 2:35 pm
oh, what about Willow back from 1988.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willow_%28film%29
162. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
I know that it isn’t a movie (okay so it is but we won’t talk about that one) has anyone here read Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy? or the rest of the series for that matter?
i mean if we are going to be talking nerd subjects we have to bring reading material into the equation
163. Yogi Barrister - January 27th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
How about A BEAUTIFUL MIND? Does that count as a geek movie?
164. JWJWBEAN - January 27th, 2008 at 2:39 pm
They did do a movie for Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It was pretty bad. BBC did a TV mini Series I think it was. That was better.
165. Yogi Barrister - January 27th, 2008 at 2:41 pm
RobotoIA, the ultimate geek author is Thomas Pynchon, well after Phillip K. Dick of course. Bill James appeals to geeks who love baseball.
166. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 2:42 pm
i know about the movie…i just don’t like to talk about it lol. And i had heard about the mini series, i think they did the whole series, i’ve just never gotten a chance to watch them
167. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 2:44 pm
yogi what books did they write, do you know any off the top of your head?
168. Yogi Barrister - January 27th, 2008 at 2:44 pm
GOOD WILL HUNTING was about a man who couldn’t accept his inner geekdom.
169. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
I scored 27.21893%
I don’t know if I feel better or not.
Csimmons: I calculated it at #132. Me more geeky!
170. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 2:46 pm
I read every HGTTG books.
171. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 2:49 pm
also anyone here read 1984? or maybe Brave New World? I love the books and the way the are written, extremely interesting to me
and to yogi, i will check out those books for sure. Any nerd author is fine by me lol
172. Yogi Barrister - January 27th, 2008 at 2:50 pm
Thomas Pynchon wrote V, The Crying of Lot 49, and the ultimate geek novel, Gravity’s Rainbow. Phillip K. Dick wrote nearly every science fiction story that has been made into a good movie. Bill James is the guy who invented a lot of new stats for baseball.
173. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 2:52 pm
well i meant to say i would check out those authors, but then you came behind me and gave me a nice little list to go by lol, i will give those a look
174. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
robotoisawesome: Brave New World is one of the greatest books I have read - absolutely amazing. In fact, everything by Huxley is brilliant.
175. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
Remember guys - register as a user if you want to win (top right of each page has the register link). Prize for 200th, 300th, and 400th comment. If we make it to 400 I will also pick one random comment to win a 5th prize of any DVD on the list.
176. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
Farenheight 451 anyone?
177. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
I always liked Heinlen, particularly Stranger in a Strange Land
178. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
Random comment
179. miccas75 - January 27th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
Sixteen Candles definitely should be on any geek list. Farmer Ted is the Fonzie of geekdom.
180. Yogi Barrister - January 27th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
If you read Pynchon, start with V or The Crying of Lot 49. Gravity’s Rainbow is nearly impenetrable.
Phillip K. Dick is more accessible. Aside from Bladerunner, his stories were the basis for: TOTAL RECALL, A SCANNER DARKLY, NEXT, PAYCHECK, MINORITY REPORT and DARK CITY.
181. JWJWBEAN - January 27th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
Henry: 33.33333% - Total Geek I don’t think I am a “Total Geek”. I did do that whole test though. It had a pretty good list of Geek movies on there. I had seen most of those.
182. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
farenheit 451 is one great book, i love that book so very very much lol, just the story is captivating!!
183. DiscHuker - January 27th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
what about mystery men or the seriously geeky, cult favorite UHF?
184. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 3:00 pm
Has anybody else seen Barbarella, old movie with Jane Fonda?
185. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
I love Dark city! Best story ever! so CAPTIVATING!
186. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
Only 14 comments left.
187. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
c’mon disc, weird al is in it, of course i’ve seen uhf lol!!
188. D Holmes - January 27th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
@Henry
Dark City is excellent. I loved it.
189. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
Is A Scanner Darkly any good? I just saw a bunch of them for $4.99 in a dump bin yesterday and just about bought a copy, but I didn’t.
190. DiscHuker - January 27th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
guess you are a weird al fan, robot?
191. miccas75 - January 27th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
Also, the Karate Kid is insanely quotable, and gives hope to all geeks that, you too can kick dirt bike ridin rich boy ass and get the girl.
192. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
I think weird science should be on here
193. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
what about the princess bride?
194. D Holmes - January 27th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
@Yogi Barrister
While Dark City shares some similarities with PKD’s style, it isn’t based on any of his books.
Though there is another adaption of one of his books coming up, Radio Free Albemuth.
195. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
yeah i love weird al, his new stuff isn’t bad, white and nerdy is good for a laugh, but you gotta love his old stuff more
196. DiscHuker - January 27th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
napoleon dynamite is totally submerged into the life and times of a geek and his friends. other than summer and her boyfriend, who of that entire crowd wouldn’t have recieved wedgies on a regular basis in junior high?
197. Yogi Barrister - January 27th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
A SCANNER DARKLY is very good. Many fans of the author consider that to be the most faithful adaptation.
198. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
come on
199. DiscHuker - January 27th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
then again, i got regular wedgies and i don’t consider myself a geek
200. D Holmes - January 27th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
@Csimmons
No Princess Bride on a geek list?
Inconceivable!
201. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
Karate Kid. good one
202. robotoisawesome - January 27th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
in fact i’d say that i’m fat would be the best one
but as for nerdiest movie, i would have to say monty python and the holy grail, just my opinion
203. phunniemee - January 27th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
Fahrenheit 451 is indeed a great book. Have you seen the old & also wonderful movie?
204. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
UHF was good, but boring at points.
205. Yogi Barrister - January 27th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
D.Holmes, You’re right.
206. miccas75 - January 27th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
I have met an insane amount of geeks, in my lifetime who quote Grease 2. WTF is up with that?
207. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
NOOOOOOO!
208. DiscHuker - January 27th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
sweet!!! your site has made me happy jayfray.
209. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
k, gonna go get it. thanks
210. Yogi Barrister - January 27th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
What does it say about this website, that a list of geek movies draws such a tremendous response? The thread about westerns got stranded in Death Valley.
211. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! once again I am so close yet so far away! Oh and I took the geek test, I got a 29%, Means Im a total geek.
212. Henry - January 27th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
If I pick first for him I may get the movie! Probably not! The fifth element!
213. Maxx_the_Slash - January 27th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
The Harry Potter movies kick more balls than Lord of the Rings does and should have taken it’s place. Lord of the Rings has no business being in this list because it contains nothing original within it. Everything it contains has been done long before LotR was ever thought up. Harry Potter has what Lord of the Rings doesn’t: the badass of badasses, Professor Severus Snape. You don’t **** with Alan Rickman.
214. D Holmes - January 27th, 2008 at 3:12 pm
Oh wow, I didn’t realize I was one off from the prize…
Hey, JFrater, I was close ENOUGH. I think I deserve SOMETHING.
Nah, I’m just kidding. I don’t beg (often).
But in all seriousness, I would definitely put Wrath of Khan over War Games, Repo Man, Planet of the Apes, and (and despite being a good movie) Pi any day. Come one! Its Star Trek. You can hardly get ANY geekier than that!
215. mklong - January 27th, 2008 at 3:12 pm
1. star wars
2. space balls
3. swordfish ( geeks can be cool)
4. matrix
5. 2001
216. DiscHuker - January 27th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
jayfray, i’ll take that new Blade Runner special edition if that is an option. thank you for this pleasant surprise.
217. D Holmes - January 27th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
@phunniemee
They’re making another adaption of it.
Its going to be directed by Stephen King’s film minion, Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Mist).
The good news is that intends to bring the mechanical hound into the movie.
218. D Holmes - January 27th, 2008 at 3:19 pm
@DiscHuker
The Final Cut?
There are three different versions of it, each with varying prices:
http://www.amazon.com/Blade-Ru.....amp;sr=1-3
http://www.amazon.com/Blade-Ru.....amp;sr=1-4
http://www.amazon.com/Blade-Ru.....amp;sr=1-1
Go easy on JFrater, he’s got to pay for the site, you know ;).
219. JwJwBean - January 27th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
I own The book Farenheit 451. I thought it was a great book and would love to see a movie of it.
220. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
Dude, I just checked my inbox, 139 messages!!!! ALL FROM LISTVERSE!

Congrats to DiscHuker for winning the second of our three prizes. Hit 300 and we have another winner!
223. Snowkid32 - January 27th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
Haha, great list, but I loved Hackers.
XD!
224. Borg - January 27th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
What exactly is a geek? And how does it compare to a nerd? Seems like lots of the movies on this list are technology-focused. Where does that connection come from?
For my money, the two geekiest movies are “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” and “Mystery Science Theater 3000.” There is nothing geekier than a bunch of guys (and robots) sitting around watching bad movies and making snarky comments.
225. JT - January 27th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
JwJwBean, there was a movie of F451. It was Francois Truffaut’s only English language film, and it was terrible. I saw it, and it was so bad, it actually put me off reading the book.
226. Devon Henderson - January 27th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
wow this is going to be more than the stephen king list
227. JwJwBean - January 27th, 2008 at 3:47 pm
JT: As usual it sounds like the book was way batter than the movie.
228. Diogenes - January 27th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
it just seems that growing up in the eighties makes one a geek, although I still have yet to chomop off the heads of vermin or live poultry. maybe those are the movies I’de like to see.
ah, no.
229. JwJwBean - January 27th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
Oops was supposed to be better not batter.
Jamie, is there a spell check function I am just not seeing?
230. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
Devon: with a little luck
231. Diogenes - January 27th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
yeh, you know “chomopping” , as opposed to “chomping”
just here to help along a winner.
go geek go!
232. DiscHuker - January 27th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
d holmes: geez, i didn’t realize that you could spend that much on just one movie, no matter how many special disks it came with.
jayfray, just the new director’s cut one. one disk i think, maybe two.
233. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
Diogenes: I noticed that today (re growing up in the 80s) while making this list - weird.
JwJwBean: no spell check on the site - I use Safari on a Mac so it has spell checking built in - but as far as I know Windows doesn’t afford the same luxury
they have enough trouble getting the browser to work let alone adding cool features like built in OS wide spell checking
234. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 3:59 pm
We are 20 comments away from the most commented on list.
235. JwJwBean - January 27th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
I guess I could type all my comments in word first, spell check and copy and paste. Or I could just post and not be a snob about my mistakes lol.

254 is the number of comments to beat to make this our most 1337 list
241. jfrater - January 27th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
oh - and for those interested, in the last 6 months (since the site started) we have 26,236 comments and 465 lists. We also have 1,346 registered users! Way to go guys! I think I will have to do a special prize for the 30,000th comment.
242. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
So, what? you want us to post another 3,764 comments here? What are you, nuts? I have to eat, I have a life (I think) and I certainly have a job I gotta go to tomorrow.
I use Firefox, and it does a spell check here.
243. corinthian0430 - January 27th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
WTF? Where’s “Revenge of the Nerds?”
244. Kelsi - January 27th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
Wow…I checked this site earlier today and there wasn’t even a new list yet…now, there are 244 comments?!
Sadly, I have seen most of these. I fail at hot chickdom, haha!
245. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
You know, Im noticing a trend, i am always within one of winning, I think someone is out to get me.
246. JwJwBean - January 27th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
For the last 20 comments I have been trying to think of an on topic post to help us raise the post count.
Kelsi: No worries on the hot chikdom. Geek girls do it Freakier.
247. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
JwJwBean: Me too, If we had a hot topic, 300 would come faster, how about….CRAP nothing, darn T.V. has ruined my imagination.
248. Derek99 - January 27th, 2008 at 4:38 pm
Princess Bride? Eh…naw it’s too cool
249. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
OH I know a topic! any body disagree with the list, everybody? thought so.
250. Ravyn - January 27th, 2008 at 4:56 pm
oh my gosh so many of my favorite movies on this list…. but i wouldn’t consider myself a geek
251. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 5:09 pm
You ever notice that a lot of geek movies always have babes but rarely have romance? Do you suppose that geeks are really afraid of girls, or more afraid of rejection?
Maybe I should get a geek girlfriend. Freakier, huh?
252. Dan - January 27th, 2008 at 5:10 pm
I love Serenity so much! Highly underated film and TV series
253. Derek99 - January 27th, 2008 at 5:15 pm
I think I’ll be number 253 for the tie
254. Kiana - January 27th, 2008 at 5:29 pm
I loved the film Real Genius.
255. Kiana - January 27th, 2008 at 5:33 pm
Does Flight of the Navigator count as geeky?
256. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 5:35 pm
Hey, can anybody recommend what anime films I should watch. I’ve seen some but I don’t remember what they were. I mostly love the artwork and the mood of them.
257. Mariam67 - January 27th, 2008 at 6:02 pm
I have to say I haven’t seen many of these movies, but some of them sound really good. I’ve always wanted to see Tron, and I loved Spaceballs! Hooray for the virgin alarm!
258. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 6:05 pm
Wow, commenting sure has slowed down.
259. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 6:11 pm
Im glad Metropolis is on here, It is the original Sci-Fi flick and one of the greatest.
260. stormy617 - January 27th, 2008 at 6:22 pm
wow I am sick and spend most of the day in bed and what happens. I miss out on a contest….waaaaaa
Now i feel even worse!!
261. stormy617 - January 27th, 2008 at 6:24 pm
And just curious but I thought that comment number 200 was supposed to win……..how come #199 got it………did i miss something??
262. stormy617 - January 27th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
I always thought of myself as kind of geekish but i must only be a dork because I have only seen 8 of these movies.
263. stormy617 - January 27th, 2008 at 6:30 pm
I am a bit freaky does that count??? LOL
I agree that Weird Science should be on this list though…….although that was a movie about geeks so maybe doesnt count
264. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
I find it funny that Jfrater keeps on making movie lists when he had a list called “top ten reasons why you shouldn’t make a movie list” and he still makes them! but this without a doubt the most contreversial.
265. JwJwBean - January 27th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
When it happened he really was #200. Maybe someone removed a comment.
266. JwJwBean - January 27th, 2008 at 6:45 pm
jocsboss: My husband and kids enjoy the anime movies. Howl’s Moving Castle is one I really enjoyed. Kiki’s Delivery Service my son said was good. Spirited Away was a good one too.
267. stormy617 - January 27th, 2008 at 6:45 pm
oh ok i wasn’t here earlier when it happened like i said above i am sick and have been in bed most of the day.
268. JwJwBean - January 27th, 2008 at 6:49 pm
Jocsboss: This one was nice too. My Neighbor Totoro. Director: Hayao Miyazaki seems to have a lot of good ones.
269. stormy617 - January 27th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
Csimmons I think that Jfrater said that he made that list as a joke and that of course he was going to keep making movie lists cause he likes them so much
270. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
Thanks jwjwbean. I will write all your info on a note pad for the next time I am at the movie store.
271. stormy617 - January 27th, 2008 at 6:56 pm
What about Predator?? Wouldn’t that be a geek movie??
272. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 6:56 pm
Did Jamie make a list of top ten movies that Sucked a Lot? Cause if he did I have a bunch of comments for it. And if he didn’t I could make a list for him.
You know how when you go to watch a movie and you think that it’s gonna be good and all that happens is that when it’s over the only thing that you can think of is “There goes two hours of my life sucked into a void”?
273. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 7:01 pm
You know, as soon as the 290 comment happens, Your odds of getting the last winning comment is like 1 in 50,000
274. stormy617 - January 27th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
Jamie did make a list of boring movies I don’t know if that would be the same or not
275. stormy617 - January 27th, 2008 at 7:03 pm
Csimmons are you sitting there with a calculator figuring these things out??
276. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 7:05 pm
Really? What did he call it? Maybe I should see if I can find it.
I don’t care if I get 300 or not. Jamie said he was going to give a prize for a random comment and I was the first to make a random comment so I should get a prize for that! *thumbs nose* so there!
277. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 7:10 pm
stormy617:actually yes, I kinda do these things when im really bored, that and im trying to get to 300 faster.
278. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
Guess what? The list is called 10 most Boring Movies. Pretty good list, too. I was thinking more about movies that had plot lines that didn’t make any sense and were so predictable that they were like children’s books. Or mystery movies that pull some conclusion out of their asses just to fool you so that you didn’t get it. Movies like To Jillian on Her 37th Birthday, or that horrible angel one with Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan.
279. el duderino - January 27th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
Repo Man but not Napoleon Dynamite? How is geek defined these days?
280. stormy617 - January 27th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
I was wondering why you had put random comment up as a comment…..LOL i really dont think that is what he meant………I think that list was called top 10 boring movies I couldnt find it in the list but i did see a list called top 10 box office bombs that i havent read yet
281. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
Of course when i said that wed get 400 comments by like 6 o’clock, my math was all wrong.
282. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 7:15 pm
This list really needs Napolean Dynamite, a true geek movie.
283. jocsboss - January 27th, 2008 at 7:15 pm
At the rate we were going between 12:30 and 1:30 we should have been to 500 about two hours ago.
284. stormy617 - January 27th, 2008 at 7:16 pm
Csimmons: Thats cool was just wondering…..I have a feeling that you are going to get it just because you were so close earlier and you have been trying so hard……although jocsboss has too so who knows but it will probably be one of you………but if you dont get it maybe he will pick one of yours as the random comment to win
285. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 7:17 pm
jocsboss: you’re gess is as good as mine was, I was about 200 off.
286. Kelsi - January 27th, 2008 at 7:17 pm
Haha, freaky huh? Hmm…creative, yes, ravenous libido, affirmitive…freaky though? It’s all relative I guess.
el duderino: Geek as in movies geeks would enjoy, not necessairly (woah, what has happened to my ability to spell?) those featuring geeks. Besides, ND wasn’t a geek, he was just a loser. There’s a difference!
287. stormy617 - January 27th, 2008 at 7:18 pm
Oh yea when i was reading over the comments earlier they were being posted like crazy LOL EVERYBODY was going crazy with them.
288. stormy617 - January 27th, 2008 at 7:20 pm
Well if freakiness is part of the criteria i am deff there LOL.
289. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 7:20 pm
stormy617: thanks, I truly do get mad since I am on average 1 off each time, and the winner comments the same time I do. Maybe this time ill get lucky
290. Csimmons - January 27th, 2008 at 7:2
