Crossword Competition 1
Today we are launching our first crossword competition. Depending on the responses from you – our readers – this will become a regular thing. The answers to all of the questions can be found on the site – in the main body of the lists. Comments and “Your View” are not included.
The competition will run for one week. At the end of the week, the answers will be posted here, and all correct entries will be added to a draw. One random entry will be selected as the winner – so every correct submission has a chance.
Until I can find better software, you will need to print off the puzzle (it is in pdf format) and work out your answers on paper. You will then need to email me your answers. The deadline for entries is July 8th at 1:00am GMT.
If you don’t know how to read a PDF, you need to download a copy of a PDF viewer – it is completely free and you can download it here.
Please remember not to use the comments here to cheat – do not tell anyone else the answers. You can, however, use the comments to discuss your progress, to tell people which ones you are finding toughest, and to comment in general on the idea of a regular crossword competition.
The prize for the competition is your choice of either a tee-shirt, a mug, or a cap from the List Universe Store.
