I def. want to paint my car like #12, very clever and striking. overall nice list too
2. Mom424 - February 2nd, 2008 at 2:22 pm
I dunno about #15, it could get you shot in the states…actually in any big city, in the wrong neighbourhood…
I’ve seen most of these, but the bus for national geographic is just awesome…
3. phunniemee - February 2nd, 2008 at 2:24 pm
Some of the CTA buses in Chicago used to have stickers on them to make them look like they were made out of wood, to advertise Home Depot. They were pretty neat.
4. phunniemee - February 2nd, 2008 at 2:26 pm
Mom424: I really doubt that something that clearly falls into the “I’m a picture on a bag” category such as the gun bag would get you shot…anywhere.
5. me - February 2nd, 2008 at 2:28 pm
I love these heres one not made to be funny tho look at the exhaust placement

6. Ravyn - February 2nd, 2008 at 2:30 pm
these are cute. Seen most of them but some are a first for me.
7. mrbizmark - February 2nd, 2008 at 2:31 pm
The gun bag def. would draw cops attention here in the US
8. Taos - February 2nd, 2008 at 2:40 pm
i wonder how many on 15 have been followed by security gaurds or police :p
9. Mom424 - February 2nd, 2008 at 2:44 pm
phunimee; i beg to differ, tatoos and flashlights have already got people shot by the police, at a distance at night,,,
10. melloyello - February 2nd, 2008 at 2:54 pm
I’m a sucker for the kissing couple on the bus doors. I wish I was that creative.
11. dangorironhide - February 2nd, 2008 at 3:16 pm
Seen a few of them before. 2 & 4 are awesome.
12. kiwiboi - February 2nd, 2008 at 3:32 pm

16. JwJwBean - February 2nd, 2008 at 5:14 pm
Gravy, I went looking to find the other site he “stole” from, but can’t find it. Can you provide a link?
17. Diogenes - February 2nd, 2008 at 5:24 pm
I think I dislike “gonzo advertising”..these come close but not what I have experienced or seen.
One by Starbucks pissed me off. I was crossing the street at a red light and the car up front hand a coffee cup on the roof by the driver’s side. The guy’s window was half way down, so I went over and told him he had his coffee on his roof. “oh..ah yes, its a promotion by starbucks and ..blah blah, heres a coupon for a free coffee” I gave hime a look of “f-you” and turn around on my way. I felt that I had been taken for, that my civilian manners to help a fellow in need was used to sell coffee.
18. me - February 2nd, 2008 at 5:34 pm
Geeeze Diogenes lighten up u got a coupon what more do u want u would have got just a thank u if it was just a coffee cup on a car roof
19. Diogenes - February 2nd, 2008 at 5:53 pm
Its not that, “ME”. Its that “why should I bother , if its just a way to take advantage of my concern or kindness”.
Should I sell bandades by laying on the sidewalk covered in blood, and when somebody bends down to help me, I say, “oh, thanks, Did you know “Ow Brand Bandades” soak up the most, Here’s your feel sample!” Ok move along.
20. Maxx_the_Slash - February 2nd, 2008 at 5:57 pm
15 has got to be the friggen DUMBEST idea ever. I can picture someone seeing a tough looking innocent guy carrying those bags and seeing the gun and calling the police. ****ing dumb…
21. JwJwBean - February 2nd, 2008 at 6:00 pm
If I had a business though I think I would want to attract Kind people to it. Starbucks has that all around have a groovy day type attitude.
I do understand you feeling taken advantage of a little. But you should think of it as your good deed paying off with a reward of free coffee.
22. Mom424 - February 2nd, 2008 at 6:03 pm
Gads, I wouldn’t drink Starbucks even if it was free!
23. Diogenes - February 2nd, 2008 at 6:25 pm
exactly on both accounts.
but I dont think my good deeds should be rewarded. no coffee/no cookie.
“Me” had something with “just a thank u”
at the same time
Its like the wolf in sheeps clothing
and the boy who cried
24. Jeremy - February 2nd, 2008 at 6:26 pm
sweet list
25. mekanikal_demon - February 2nd, 2008 at 6:43 pm

26. Andrea Carlena Beauman - February 2nd, 2008 at 6:53 pm
Bahaha those are life changingly funny.
-Andrea Carlena Beauman
27. me - February 2nd, 2008 at 6:54 pm
But just think of the free coffee as a thank you and its all ok
28. Diogenes - February 2nd, 2008 at 7:12 pm
sure.
extinguish any breeding hostility.
29. Joel (the other one) - February 2nd, 2008 at 7:12 pm
Great stuff. I’d be a bit afraid to tote around the bag with the gun printed on it.
The Autism awareness bag was heart warming, and the coffee cup with the nose and upper lip was terrificly clever, though the drinker would have to be pretty deliberate in the way they held the cup to evoke the full effect.
30. satori - February 2nd, 2008 at 8:06 pm
not sure how I feel about #15, but the rest of them are AWESOME! I’m particularly fond of the DJ.
31. MC zippo - February 2nd, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Is the author of this is extremely bias towards bags and buses or is that just the only way to make an advertisement “clever”?
Neat list none the less. I think “me”s link on comment 5 should be added as an honorable mention or something though.
32. goof_ball - February 2nd, 2008 at 8:58 pm
I’ve seen some of these before. They don’t get old, not yet at least. The new ones (to me) are cool, too.
33. D Holmes - February 2nd, 2008 at 9:30 pm
Great list, there are some definite classics here and some that I’ve never seen before. Good job Rhyno.
Just a heads up, JFrater. The description says the list is a Top 10 list when it is obviously a Top 15 list.
34. Emily - February 2nd, 2008 at 9:36 pm

56. Drogo - March 28th, 2008 at 2:18 am
What is number 6 advertizing???
If I was handed the gun bag I would hold it differently.
I don’t like the shark advert, I think it bites. (bad pun)

58. nikki - May 22nd, 2008 at 2:35 pm
i loved this list and love this site (yes ok fine i’m addicted).
advert 6.. why?
i managed to keep my mouth shut on the common methods for suicide list and in fact all the morbid ones; however the pic in no.6 makes me want to hang myself. there’s the obvious sadness at the man getting hanged. what is the point, does anyone know, of this bag/ad?
i’m glad i’m out of rope tonight :s
59. Fruckert - August 16th, 2008 at 4:35 am

60. LynneB - August 21st, 2008 at 6:14 pm
The gun bag (15) is an advert for a TV-show, based upon a series of crimestories revolving around one guy, who’s last name happens to be Aspe.
It is made in Belgium, which is, a west European country and lies in between France, The Netherlands and Germany. Across the North Sea, The UK too, can be counted as one of our “neighbors” . (I bet some of you can’t point Belgium out on a map)
And although Belgium is portrayed as a retarded hell-hole by foreign media, no reports about suspicious policemen following the bag carriers around were made. Hehe.
61. Jessy - October 4th, 2008 at 2:02 pm
I actually thought number 2 had a guy on the back of the bus… LOL. xD
