And–just think he is a two-term president. I suppose this country gets what it deserves.
24. kiwiboi - January 11th, 2008 at 2:14 am
How about “Brownie, you’re doing a heck of a job”.
Bush said this, in front of the world’s media, to Michael D Brown (the Director of FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and a Bush appointee) in relation to his handling of Hurricane Katrina in September 2005 and despite the whole world (apart from Bush) being of the view that Brown was (in the words of one political commentator), a “worthless sack of bones”.
Bush gave Brown his public endorsement on September 2nd. “Brownie” resigned in disgrace on September 12th.

Here’s a joke for y’all…
Bush was being debriefed about a recent conflict in Iraq by members of his inner circle. “Today in Iraq two brazilian soldiers were killed.” Bush hung his head down and looked upset. Someone asked if he was alright saying, “There’s been days were many more people have been killed fighting in Iraq.” After this was said Bush looked up and asked… “Yes, but how many is a brazilian exactly?”
28. doz - February 12th, 2008 at 10:46 am

29. treypole - February 15th, 2008 at 1:05 am
There’s a Washington Post reporter (I believe) that was writing a book just on the silly stuff W said, but he noticed a pattern. Whenever W was talking about something militaristic or punitive - like killing “terr’ists” - he never (or rarely) stumbled, always clear and precise. But when trying to sound compassionate or caring, the stumbling was frequent. The reporter’s favorite - W talking about hunger: “I know how hard it is to put food on your family.”
30. colin - February 21st, 2008 at 2:59 am
seriously, Japanians? lol

35. Brad - May 14th, 2008 at 9:54 pm
“There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.”
36. ChaoticPython - May 27th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
You’ve got to feel a little sorry for him….I can’t think of a job with more pressure than President. And half of what he does is just what his advisors tell him to do…
But come on. Number 6? That’s just funny.
