Christmas Competition Entry Closed
The Listverse Christmas 2009 Competition is now official closed. The winner will be the person who contributes the list that I feature on the front page of the site on Christmas Day (December 25, 2009). The second place getter will have their list featured on the front page on Christmas Eve (December 24, 2009), and the third place getter will have their list featured on the front page the day before Christmas Eve (December 23, 2009).
All other lists which failed to make the final three will begin appearing on the site after Christmas and will be marked as competition entries. All lists published (except 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize) will be eligible for one of five copies of the Ultimate book of Top 10 Lists. The winners will be announced one week after Christmas.
NOTE: this is a slight change from the original plan in which it was suggested that some of the losing entries might begin appearing before Christmas. The change has been made so that people are not given any hints as to the winning entries. This means that the first list from the competition will appear on the 23rd of December and there will be at least one week of other entries following on from that. This coincides with my brief Christmas vacation (I return to the site on January 2).
Many thanks to all who entered!
