1. Hemispherectomy
Believe it or not, this surgical procedure involves removing or disabling an entire half of the brain. This procedure is used to treat a variety of seizure disorders where the source of the epilepsy is localized to a broad area of a single hemisphere of the brain. It is reserved for cases which can’t be managed with medication alone. The first time this surgery was performed on a human was in 1923 by Walter Dandy. All of the patients who receive this treatment suffer from partial or full paralysis on the side of the body opposite to the side of the brain removed. Most patients who have undergone this procedure will have neurons from the remaining hemisphere take over the tasks from the lost hemisphere by making new neural connections.
2. Hemicorporectomy
Also known as translumbar amputation, this surgery removes the lower half of the body from above the pelvis. The result is that the sexual organs, anus, rectum, legs, pelvis bones, and urinary system are removed. It is a severely mutilating procedure recommended only as a last resort for patients with severe and potentially fatal illnesses such as osteomyelitis, tumors, severe traumas and intractable decubiti in, or around, the pelvis. This surgery has only been performed in a small number of cases. The surgical procedure is often done in two stages; however it is possible to conduct the surgery in one stage. The first stage is the discontinuation of the waste functions in colostomy (rectum) and ileal conduit (bladder). The second stage will be the actual amputation.
3. Bilateral Cingulotomy
This is a brain surgery used in pain treatment for severe cases of cancer. It involves disabling the cingulate gyrus, a small section of brain that connects the limbic region of the brain with the frontal lobes. It has also found use in psychosurgery (surgery for mental disorders) where it is very controversial. As a psychosurgical treatment it has almost totally replaced lobotomy as a procedure. Its use for alleviation of pain in cancer patients is reasonably well-documented and well-supported, but its use in treating people with depression is not.
4. Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy
ETS is a surgery in which oprtions of the sympathetic nerve trunk are dissected. By cutting these nerve sections, the surgeon is able to treat severe cases of hyperhydrosis (excess sweating). What makes this bizarre is that a side-effect of this treatment is that the person no longer blushes. For that reason it has also become a cosmetic procedure for people who blush excessively. If only one side of the body is treated, a person who has undergone this surgery will have half of their body blushing while the other half remains in its natural state. For this reason the treatment is always performed on both sides of the body.
5. Vaginectomy
In a Vaginectomy, part or all of the vagina is surgically removed. This is normally used as a treatment for various forms of cancer but it also occurs in some sexual reassignment surgeries. It is normal for a surgeon to reconstruct the vagina after this surgery by using other parts of the patient’s body.
6. Lobotomy
Lobotomy is a very controversial medical treatment in which the frontal lobes of the brain are destroyed. It consists of cutting the connections to and from, or simply destroying, the prefrontal cortex. While it is seldom performed nowadays, it does still occur. Lobotomies have been used in the past to treat a wide range of mental illnesses including schizophrenia. This procedure often results in major personality changes or even mental retardation. President Kennedy’s sister was given a lobotomy. Wikipedia has this to say:
Rosemary Kennedy, sister of President John F. Kennedy, was given a lobotomy when her father complained to doctors about the 23-year-old’s moodiness and growing interest in men. The procedure was personally performed by Walter Freeman. Instead of producing the desired result, however, the lobotomy reduced Rosemary to an infantile mentality that left her incontinent and staring blankly at walls for hours. Her verbal skills were reduced to unintelligible babble. To avoid political scandal, the nature of Rosemary’s affliction was hidden by her father for years, described to the public as the result of mental retardation. Her sister, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, founded the Special Olympics in her honor in 1968.
7. Penectomy
A Penectomy is the total removal of all, or parts, of the penis. It is normally used as a treatment for cancer, but it has sometimes had to be performed after a botched circumcision. Some men have undergone penectomies as a voluntary body modification, but professional opinion is divided as to whether or not the desire for penile amputation is a pathology, thus including it as part of a body dysmorphic disorder.
8. Circumcision
Circumcision is a very common procedure performed for religious reasons (amongst Jews and Muslims) and by many doctors who claim health benefits. Much controversy surrounds this procedure (in which the foreskin of the penis is surgically removed) as it is a non-essential surgery normally performed on a child that has no say in whether it is performed or not. Some adult men develop psychological issues as a result of circumcision, which leads us to the next bizarre surgery: foreskin restoration.
9. Foreskin Restoration
Foreskin restoration is the process of expanding the residual skin on the penis, via surgical or non-surgical methods, to create the appearance of a natural foreskin (prepuce) covering the glans penis. Foreskin restoration techniques are most commonly undertaken by men who have been circumcised or who have sustained an injury, but are also used by uncircumcised men who desire a longer foreskin and by men who have phimosis. Some men cite a desire to regain a sense of control over their sexual organs and regaining lost self esteem. European Jews, along with men circumcised for medical reasons, sought out underground foreskin restoration operations during World War II as a method to escape Nazi persecution.
10. Lindbergh Operation
The Lindbergh Operation is included here as a special mention. It was the first surgery ever performed entirely with robots being guided by doctors through telecommunications. The surgery occurred in France and was controlled by French doctors in New York. The operation was performed successfully on September 7th, 2001 by Professor Jacques Marescaux and his team from the IRCAD (Institute for Research into Cancer of the Digestive System). This was the first time in medical history that a technical solution proved capable of reducing the time delay inherent to long distance transmissions sufficiently to make this type of procedure possible. The 45-minute procedure consisted in removing the gallbladder of a patient in surgical ward A in Strasbourg Civil Hospital, in Eastern France. From New York, the surgeon controlled the arms of the ZEUS™ Robotic Surgical System, designed by Computer Motion, to operate on the patient. The link between the robotic system and the surgeon was provided by a high-speed fiberoptic service deployed thanks to the combined efforts of several France Telecom group entities.

I think there are plenty of horrible medicalprocedures for women… I cannotbelieve that people think the circumcision is so relevant. Women go through plastic surgery that sometimes their husbands pay for as soon asthey give birth. That is awful! Iam circumcised at the age of 7 and happy with that. For Some of my friends those who are not circumcised, the first time ***** was painful due to the foreskin. It is very hygenic if you are circumcised and I have never felt that I have any disadvantage with the cut foreskin. It is also great for oral *****.
Circumcision is brutal, unnecessary, and downright immoral. Any woman who claims it’s different from fgm needs to actually study what is done and why, over history in the USA, it was advocated, by whom and for what purpose. Watch a video of how the baby boy, less than a day old, is strapped spread eagle to a table, had the skin ripped off the corona of the penis, and then crushed, and cut off with a scalpel, and the wound then cauterized (melted with a really hot piece of metal) closed. This is all done without the consent of the person it’s being performed on, plus it’s incredibly painful.

Circumsicion is not really that bad. Almost every guy I know is circumsized. They pee, they produce semen and everything that an uncircumsized penis could do. It can also make the guy have a growth spurt. And about that ‘getting circumsized as a new born’ is hideous. It can cause a lot of infections because a baby has a skin that’s 3 times more sensitive than adults or teens have.

54. asunlitrose – You clearly didn’t understand what you were reading. The foreskin is far from the most sensitive part of the penis. It protects the most sensitive part, the glans penis (head). Removing the foreskin leads to the glans penis being desensitized over time, but it is still very sensitive on circumsized males (obviously). Anyway, you’re completely ignorant to think that replacing the foreskin will resensitize it. The replaced “foreskin” will just be plain old skin.
64. tom – I can’t put it any more lightly: you’re an idiot. The vagina needs NO CARE to remain clean. It is completely self-cleaning. In fact, attempts to clean it (douching or even just soap) frequently lead to infections.
I’d also like to say that circumcision is NOT comparable to FGM! How stupid to say! An infant will not recall the circumcision the next day. He will never be traumatized by it, and he will hardly feel any pain (which will be forgotten anyway). FGM is done to teenage or adult woman in a brutal way.
I can understand arguments for and against circumcision, but (in the U.S.) it is a completely safe, sanitary procedure. Plus, it is culturally expected here… American girls are very surprised (and often turned off) by uncircumcized men.

Corey; None of my boys has been circumcised. You see I walked in on the procedure on someone else’s child before my first was tended to. I was horrified. Surgery with no anaesthesia is barbaric.
My sons are all past puberty and the worst that has happened is that one of my kids had a bit of adhesion, where the foreskin sticks to the glans. Nothing that 3 or 4 days attention with a topical steroid cream didn’t fix. And of course by the time that is an issue the boy is old enough to do it himself. My sons either have or have had girl friends. It hasn’t been an issue; they be gettin’ some.
They don't fall asleep DURING the circ , they are sleeping before it starts (because we have been rocking and cuddling them) and they stay asleep all during the procedure. I am sharing that my own experiences are far removed from the barbaric way some are describing it – strapping the baby down in a unsterile room and slicing away with no anesthesia. I would certainly be horrifed if my infant was subjected to that!
Oh, and my comment about the "teeny" amount of skin removed was a response to the comment that the "wound " needed to be cauterized. There is very little to no blood, hence no need for cauterization.
It’s been proven that a lot of kids go into shock and it just looks like they are sleeping. Also; 300 boys die every year in American hospitals due to circumcision, most of them from blood loss. So how can there be little blood? You are so ignorant. It pains me that people like you have children.
I really have no opinion about circumcision one way or the other! BUT – I work in an ob gyn office in central Florida and have assisted in many a circ, and we certainly do use anesthesia and sterile rooms and equipment. The babies are given two shots at the base of the penis ( They sometimes fuss getting the shots but rarely cry) and then we rock them for about 10-15 minutes while the shots take effect. Our doctors are very quick doing the actual circ and I have seen many a baby sleep thru the entire procedure. Doing the procudure with non-sterile rooms and no anesthesia is disgusting.
Oh and someone mentioned CAUTERIZING? ewww! There is no need for that at all! It is a teeny strip of skin that is removed, and there is barely a drop of blood! The doctors merely cover the penis head with vaseline and a bit of gauze (to keep the diaper from sticking ) and tell the parents to remove the gauze after an hour or so and clean with soap and water.
It is purely a cosmetic procudure and done only at the parents’ request, but in our office it certainly isnt a traumatic experience. Like I said, most babies sleep thru the whole thing.
The amount of anesthesia used in a circumcision is not enough to remove all pain, if it even works at all (which in some babies, unfortunately, it does not). The amount of anesthesia needed to make the procedure completely painless would kill an infant.
Infants are given no post-op pain relief. I’m sure peeing on an open wound feels just fabulous.
The myth that newborns do not feel pain came from the observation that newborns sometimes withdraw into a deep sleep toward the end of the operation. This does not mean that they do not feel pain. Falling into a deep sleep is a retreat mechanism, a withdrawal reaction as a consequence of overwhelming pain. Not only does circumcision cause pain in the penis, the rest of the newborn’s overall physiology is upset. During circumcision, stress hormones rise, the heart rate speeds, and valuable blood oxygen diminishes. Babies fall asleep during circumcision because they are going into shock.
Over 70% of all infant circumcisions in the U.S. are performed without anesthesia.

American men who were circumcised as adults, report that circumcision reduces *****ual pleasure with about 80 percent. This is also the reason why so many American men practice foreskin restoration. Couple days ago I was flipping through the channels and on one of those shows, (I’m not sure which) A Baby Story, or Bringing Home Baby, it was a religious ceremony where they were circumcising their newborn. It was really strange because they were doing the operation in the family’s living room, in front of all the family, and friends of the family. The priest or pastor first asked if the father would like to perform the operation on his own son, but he declined, so the priest proceeded. The baby had a piece of gauze in his mouth (which I’m guessing was the anesthetic) and looked “dazed” but definitely not asleep.. even his eyes were half open. They didn’t show too much detail in the actual operation, and the baby didn’t cry, but I was concerned how they were doing this outside of a controlled environment. What if something were to go wrong? Babies are so susceptible to viruses, infections, etc. that something such as a simple mistake could end up in the loss of a baby’s life.
I really don’t see a reason why this procedure is necessary, besides cosmetic reasons. You can say that 90% of women find it more attractive, but that is only because women find cleanliness attractive and we are taught that uncircumcised penises are “dirty.” This should be a thing of the past. God gave it to you for a reason.
What about female circumcision? that’s even more bazaar and more harmful then male circumcision.
I agree though, if it’s not broken then don’t fix it. Let that person decide when they are old enough or if it is absolutely medically necessary. If we weren’t ment to have the parts, we shouldn’t be born with them.

What you saw televised was most likely an Orthodox Jewish bris (sp?) ceremony. The “priest” was probably a rabbi. It’s accomplishing the same thing as regular circumcision, but with a ceremonial religious portion taking the place of the doctor’s office. This was usually done around seven days after the birth of the male child and was a sign of the Abrahamic Covenant from Genesis in the Torah. Now, if you really want to cringe, think about the fact that in Mosaic times in Israel, circumcision was very often performed with a flint or bone knife. As a happily circumcised male (don’t miss what ya never had) I cringe just thinking about a stone knife in the hands of an elderly Levite approaching my infantile genitalia.
Oh, and just to throw a log on the fire, I’m surprised none of the rabid anti-circumcision folks on here haven’t mentioned that every now and then, not often, but often enough if it’s your child, the circumcision goes HORRIBLY wrong and the newborn’s penis is basically destroyed. Then the little boy usually must become a little girl and undergo gender reassignment surgery and therapy. Talk about a worst case scenario!

Immediately move towards ending Routine Infant Circumcision. Support equal rights for boys, girls and inter*****ed individuals on the subject of bodily integrity, and promote respect for intact genitals. Our society should not condone harmful and medically unnecessary surgery being performed upon infants. Circumcision is painful, cruel, unnecessary, and removes a basic right to choose over the individual´s own body. It is a practice that should end.
Require state Medicaid and other programs stop paying for it to remain eligible for federal funds (as this single measure will see circumcision rates drop importantly), and support laws which protect the genital integrity of boys.

The original procedure was nothing like it. It was done delicately, under anaesthesia and instead of using force to sever the nerves, small wholes were drilled in the scalp and cranium and alcohol was selectively injected on the tissue to destroy specific, very small areas.
Two doctors decided the operation was too costly and complicated to perform on institutionalized mental patients and introduced a variation: stick a thin metal rod through the eye, through the bone and once you reach the brain, shake the rod to sever the nerves.
Like going from operating with a scalpel to using a chainsaw.
I never though circumcision was a common practice for some people. I live in Spain and while it´s not illegal per se, it´s seen as barbaric, and I think mostly the same.
To the person who says cervical cancer is lower if your partner does not have a foreskin, read the study. The results couldn’t be replicated and were nothing more than selective statistics.
there are many studies reflecting the connection with cervical cancer and uncircumcised penises. I am not going to argue statistics–as they can always be manipulated.

sambadev, you need to find newer studies. There has been found little evidence that circumcision is the cure for cervical cancer. 80% of the male in the WORLD is NOT circumcised and they do not have a higher rate in cervical cancer. I think it is easier to tell the child to practice good hygiene rather that have that part of his penis amputated, there are better alternative than amputation. Circumcision is a radical alternative of washing and practicing safe *****. In fact, the rate in breast cancer is higher and we are not amputating baby girls buds to prevent it. If the child when he turns into an adult wants to experience a promiscuous life, then he can have that part of his penis cut off. It’s all about human rights, let HIM decide.

Ah, this is fun to read… I like how almost the entire discussion has been about circumcision (hot button topic—I say it should be his choice. A penis is a penis—just tell your kid to practice good hygiene and everyone’s happy—the same goes for us ladies in regards to the clitoral hood) when #2 has a photo of a man cut in half. And I want to know more about that. How can a person function like that? How often do they do hemicorporectomies? Is life just full of emptying your own waste bags after one of those?

As for lobotomies and trepanning… I seem to recall hearing somewhere that they would do this to sheep to keep them docile (I’m not sure if it’s true). Both procedures are just… Barbaric. Pouring molten lead into the drilled holes… *shudder* The really creepy thing about trepanning is it can be done over and over again.

I was just reading the various comments people have made in regards to circumcision. I think some of these comments are really narrow minded. As far as my opinion goes, I think circumcision should not be condemned nor condoned. It appears that it is somewhat of a taboo topic, and a lot of responders have opinions which are entirely bias, and focus only on negative or positive aspects. I will try and be more diplomatic with my approach ^_^
Yes, there are both positive and negative aspects in regards to the medical approach. I’ve known friends who have gotten infections of the foreskin (phismosis) and it can acctually be treated with a cream which manipulates the glans, so the skin isn’t as likely to stick. So no, circumcison may not be neccessary, however, my brother had to be circumcised due to a severe infection, where it was the only method of treatment. I’ve also read about a circumcison that went severely wrong, in Canada during the 1960′s. The child was cauterized and as a result, the doctors actually burned the penis to a charcoal state, and the child lost said penis.
As far as culture or religion go; Circumcision acctually is not a neccessary right of passage in Judaism anymore. I am a jewish born male, and my parents decided against circumcision. Purely because they did not see it as relevant. My mother sometimes jokes, it was to ***** my father off!
Anyway! I’ll stop ramblin, the point is, whether you or you aren’t, as long as you are hygeinic and educated, you shouldn’t have any problems! I think people need to except that a foreskin, or lack there of doesnt define you as a person.
Good point Pumpkin Smasher, our world is essentially close-minded when it comes to this. However, the ultimate point is, that only the individual owner of the penis in question HAS the right to decide to cut part of it off.
The fact that some parents think they have the right to make that decision for their newborn baby really aren’t any different to the parents in African, Middle Eastern, and Asian societies that believe they have the right to decide what to cut off of their daughters genitals. All the above referenced parents are wrong and violate basic human rights.
Now, the fact that there are doctors who take $$$ to do this to little newborn boys in this country, they are downright sick perverts who need to have their licenses to practice medicine taken away, even seek counseling about why they feel they have the power to amputate part of a defenseless little boys penis against his will and before he’s even old enough to be consulted on the matter.

Wow, I had no idea people were so up in arms over circumcision. It's not like FGM, I'm circumcisied and it's not like they cut my dick in half or removed to completely. To compare the two seems a bit over the top and probably doens't do their argument any good. I'm able to have ***** just fine and I've got no complaints about sensation. Go ahead and call your own junk mutilated. Mine's not. Altered sure, but not mutilated.

I never thought twice about it until I met my current guy, who is uncut. Now I find circumcision creepy and wrong. I doubt I’ll spend my life with this guy but if I ever have a son it’ll be because of him that I leave my child as he is. And by the way, its not creepy looking, unclean, or smelly. Trust me.

Not to jump on your case, but you obviously have not done any research on this subject before saying that you are perfectly content with it continuing. I’m sorry to inform you, but you are operating at about 50% of what you were meant to feel, but without you taking the time to learn that, how else could you know since it was cut off of your for no apparent reason when you were a couple hours old.
Furthermore, not sure if you’re arguing that genital mutilation should continue in the USA, but your example that you can still have ***** and enjoy pleasure, that’s the same as the women who have suffered from it as well. It’s not like they lose their vaginas, or all of the nerves in their vaginas, they just lose a lot of them, just like you lost when they cut off the 3 most sensitive parts of your dick.
So, it makes me wonder, what is your perception of fgm and how you think it compares to male genital mutilation?

All I know is no guy I’ve known or dated, has complained about the fact that he is circumsized. As far as losing sensation, they all seem to get enough out of ***** and sure do want it alot. I don’t think they feel like they are missing out on anything. At least it’s done early enough that they don’t remember it, rather than having to choose to do so later in life. Sure, I’m a girl, and I don’t know what it’s like and blah blah. Girls go through plenty of crap in life, with having periods and babies. The moral arguments for circumcision cannot be supported at all. Put simply – it’s cosmetic surgery, on a baby, without anaesthetic. If you do use anaesthesia, you expose your baby to further risks that I for one would want to avoid.
Arguing that it “looks better” is equally ridiculous – since when was it OK to force your own *****ual preferences onto your children? Women generally prefer what they’re used to, so how do you know your son won’t move to a non-circ country and find himself viewed as mutilated and weird?
Cleanliness is, again, a non-issue, since for a mother it’s easier to clean an intact penis (wipe the outside like a finger) than to care for a raw, open wound. And for an adult, all he has to do is shower!
As for “infections”, well I’ve never heard of any guy getting an “infection” down there unless it was an STI. The new AIDS idea – IF it’s true (which I doubt, given the history of wacky ideas to support circ) surely by the time he is having ***** he’ll be old enough to decide whether or not he wants to be cut as a preventative measure? And, laying aside circ, he ought to be wearing a condom anyway, which would solve the problem without resorting to amputation.
And lastly – I’m prepared to bet anything that if the procedure had been invented yesterday, it would be illegal within the week.

I would like to SEE those studies. Because the majority of women have trouble orgasming WITHOUT a clitoris. Infact MOST women have trouble orgasming PERIOD.
I mean I guess if you experimented on women and tried every way in the world to make them cum then they would.

I’ve never been with a guy with an uncircumcised penis but I don’t think it’d bother me, as long as he’s CLEAN.
On the other hand I know a friend of mine kept getting Yeast infections due to her boyfriend’s uncircumcised penis. He was clean as well! The Vagina is very susceptible to infections. Most Vaginal irritations are the body’s way of trying to flush out bad bacteria.
I do think if a man kept giving me UTIs or Yeast Infections I would have to leave him.
On the other hand I’ve never heard of circumcision being the cause of Erectile Dis function. I’m not ruling it out but doesn’t it usually have more to do with the man’s psyche?
And if we’re talking about men age 45+ who have a hard time “feeling pleasure” well then just shut up. Both men and women have trouble in that area after a certain age.
Also – lots of women have a hard time taking contraceptive pills. How come there isn’t a contraceptive pill for men? Cause it’s believed that no men would take it.

You can see those studies any time if you have access to an academic journal site like Jstor. Hundreds of genitally mutilated women were interviewed and the majority reported that they could reach orgasm, and from their descriptions they were definitely managing it.
Condoms are not 100% effective, no, but they are a damn sight better than foreskin amputation, if that’s what you’re trying to argue. Incidentally, there have been at least two studies that show circumcised men are more likely to pass on HIV to their partners – the US media doesn’t seem too keen to report those. Similarly, penile cancer often develops along the circumcision scar, so there could be a causal link there.
And contrary to what your friend may believe, yeast infections are not *****ually transmitted, the candida bacteria is present on everybody’s body and it spreads for a number of reasons, such as pH imbalance or immunodeficiency. If she did catch it from her boyfriend, that’s her fault for having ***** with him before his outbreak had cleared up!

Anyway, Circumcision for boys and girls are totally different. The one for boys are reasonable due to medical reasons, whereas for girls, the procedure was made to ensure virginity in some cultures since it lessens the *****ual urge.
This is the reason why circumcision in girls are banned in most countries. It’s immoral and is very gender-biased. It is said to be done to make sure girls don’t cheat and stuff.
In my country, circumcision for boys is done at 9-14 years of age…being uncircumcised in our country is a very embarrassing topic. If you’re over the age it is usually done and you suddenly decide on having the procedure, it’s really embarrassing.
But it depends on the country, religion, culture etc. People have beliefs on these that are passed down so it’s probably the cause why some don’t agree on having it done. And yes, we don’t believe on doing it when the baby’s young…since it’s a very critical period – in other words, it’s risky.
In my opinion (TAKE NOTE: “MY”), circumcised guys are better…in a way it’s cleaner and it really does lessen infections. But as i said, it depends on the person as well (if he’s really hygienic then no problem…)I’m just following my principle of prevention is better than curing.
P.S. From what i’ve learned…ehem…circumcised guys feel more pleasure circumcised. So anyway we don’t force the kids to get circumcised, if they don’t want to then we don’t get them to. Circumcision removes healthy, functioning tissue, leaving a scarred appearance and reduced *****ual function. I’d call that mutilation.
Circumcision may have some plus points but i heard of a man who had the procedure as a baby and the doctor cauterised his foreskin and his penis popped-the kid ended up having his whole gentalia removed. He thought he was lesbian as he grew up and his parents had to tell him what had actually happened…

OK ppl, I will just say as a man circumcised as an adult, it’s absolute crap to say I am mutilated or whatever because it’s not ‘natural’. No, being circumcised is humans learning to engineer the body towards something better, much like we do with braces. Braces are painful, weird, torture looking contraptions that are put on minors in order to gain a cosmetic result with the side-effect of greater oral health. Should we stop those and get used to the natural state of teeth? With the rate of circumcisions being so high, the traumatic injuries and scare stories are so very rare. Plus, it’s PROVEN that many things are transmitted less, and that a baby has a much higher chance of getting a UTI (which can cause internal scarring of the kidneys) from a foreskin, than of any complications from the circumcision.
And as one who experienced it firsthand, an uncircumcised penis can never, ever be as ideal as ‘just wash it!’ Those things start to get musky almost immediately after washing and STAY MOIST; *****ual spontinaety is impossible. It’s like removing a band-aid from a wound that’s healing. Yeah, it may be ‘more sensitive’, but not in any good way…compare the feeling of touching a still-moist wound with the touch on one healed for a long time. But, if you want to traumatize your son into being too scared to share himself *****ually as a growing-up teenager (at least in the USA), then by all means leave him uncircumcised.
