I’ve seen most of these before at the World Beard and Mustache Championships. But there are some new ones here.
They’re all pretty impressive, but nothing compared to Master Chia Hui Liu!

LOL you should see my father……..his beard and mustache are not really crazy like the ones on this list but they do make him look just like Santa Claus and I don’t mean just a little bit I mean just like him. He gets that all year long and one year right before Christmas a little girl ended up crying cause she didn’t believe her mother that he wasn’t really Santa Claus. Of course it doesn’t help that he wears a red and white hat that my mother crocheted for him.

He even plays Santa every year for the family party of a friend of my mothers. He has been doing that for probably about 7 or 8 years now.

Lauren @ 5.: Actually these guys probably don’t use glue, but a special moustache wax — which was how Salvador Dali got those big curls. (Of course, these days they could be using mousse, egg whites, Krazy Glue — you know what, I’m smooth-shaven, what am I talking about, just ignore me …) Should have Dali and maybe Lord Kitchener as notable omissions, I think.

I’ve never understood men and their compulsion to have face-pets. I don’t like them and I never will. This list, and the thought of kissing any of the men on it, has turned my stomach more than any list on this site!

No. 4 looks like he actually goes around groomed this way normally! Most of the others look like they’ve fancied up their facial hair for some kind of festivities involving costumes. I like facial hair (on men, anyway) but I gotta say, these guys are either hysterically funny or downright weird!

Number 5 and 6 are the same Turkish guy, i know him, he wants 5 dollars to take a picture of him. He acts a little bit crazy. It must be hard to stay normal when people keep looking at you all the time.

Hey i live in Beirut, Lebanon and have seen the guy in pictures 5 and 6 a couple of times. He actually does make a living selling polaroid pix of himself and locals/tourists in areas like the “Corniche” where picture 5 was taken. I’ve heard he’s from Turkey, but there’s also word that he’s a spy?!…which is probably just war induced paranoia.I mean that moustache IS an attention grabber, which defies the point?..hah!

When I was a kid (maybe about age 12) I had a friend who’s father used to compete in Moustache/Beard competitions. He had “normal” facial hair when I knew him, but I saw some pictures from his competition days that were quite impressive, though not quite as bold as these! Great list!
