We have already done a list of well-timed (and mostly amusing) sports photos, so because it is a Saturday and the 4th of July, we thought it would be nice to have another fun list. There are sporting competitions for dwarfs (?dwarves – sounds too much like Tolkein). There was an item on Australian tv about a man who wanted to compete in the USA. I found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwarf_Athletic_Association_of_America. (That’s their own name for their association, so no disrespect intended.)

@ ringtailroxy: yes, how stupid these people are for not knowing the dog was peeing, not crapping. How DARE they don’t intently study the positions a dog takes when relieving itself like YOU do! Lady, I own a dog, and I never pay any attention to her position when she poos or pees, because it doesn’t matter. Your attempt to “correct” somebody else’s comment (as if being unable to discern between a pooping dog and a peeing one is some sort of sign of stupidity) and to sound educated just makes you sound stuck-up and crazy.
Anyway, nice list. Very funny!

The Bonus item is the funniest thing I have seen in a very long while.

Loved the list. Does anyone know the explanations for some of these?
#2 (Wait, what?), #8(Was he hurt?), #12(Why did #9 do that? – Did he get fined?), #14 (Why the dog is on the field?), #16 (There are no words…How did he end up under the other guy’s jock?), #19 (No separate weight classes for Sumo?), #21 (Why? For the love of…), and #26 (how the heck did the ice skaters end up in that position?).

[In] 2001 …, Hopoate, in an attempt to unsettle several of his opponents, inserted his fingers in three players’ anuses, the first occurring during the seventh minute of play. in all fairness #16. is Danshoku Dino a wrestler for DDT in japan who has a very “gay” gimmick. His finishing manuver is maneuver is a Canadian destroyer, front flip piledriver, performed with the other wrestler’s head in his tights.

@ixora05 (92): Maybe it’s just the small ultra-liberal intellectual crowd I worked with for over twenty years in the film biz, but gay, queer, fairy, what-all were just words they used to describe themselves, and those of us who loved them as dear friends used them as well. They weren’t derogatory. If anything they were fun!
I can remember yelling across set to get the attention of the make-up man, “Jocko! Get your queer butt over here and give me an opinion!” And he’d he’d yell back.”Oh, honeybunch! This fairy has more opinions than the Sunday NY Times has print.”
Sadly, most of these wonderful people, people I knew in some cases since Uni days, are dead of AIDS. But the words, the words the words they wore with pride, with glee, with such a sense of humor it was catching!
